Silk'n SensEpil, the Best Kept Hair Removing Secret

A Product Review

Sarah Afshar
The Silk'n SensEpil is a laser hair removing product developed by Silk'n. This remarkable laser hair removing device relies on Home Pulsed Light (or HPL) and guarantees that you will receive the same long-term benefits you will receive in physician's office, for the fraction of the cost.

When shopping at Sephora recently, I had the opportunity to discover the Silk'n SensEpil hair removing system. After questioning the idea that a laser hair removing medium can actually subsist on the shelf, I felt reluctant that such an idea even existed. So I decided to cave in and try the product.

The Silk'n SensEpil not only includes the Silk'n SensEpil device, but it also includes a lamp cartridge (with 750 pulses), a power cord, an instructional DVD, and quick start guide/user's manual. The lamp cartridge works as a filter for this product and it is fairly easy to change. The lamp cartridge is also quite expendable, which allows a life span of hair removing treatments. It is disposable, making the Silk'n SensEpil hair removing system that much easier to use. The power cord lets you use this product anywhere, without worrying about batteries. The instructional DVD, as well as, the quick start guide/user's manual is very informative, making it really simple to use the Silk'n SensEpil.

PROS

When it comes to purchasing any hair removing system, I always feel that the best hair removing systems are convenient. The Silk'n SensEpil is a portable, yet handy hair removing device. You can take it anywhere. This hair removing system is also relatively easy to use, making the overall application unproblematic.

There is nothing better than loving the skin you are in. The Silk'n SensEpil was created for every skin type.

You can set the level of this product. There are a total of 5 levels. For instance, when you first use this product you will want to use level 1 to test your reaction to the product. If you are skeptical, you want to start out using level 1. If you want to use this product on those sensitive areas, I recommend using a lighter level. Whether level 1 or level 3. I used level 1 first, but increased depending on the area I wanted to target. My bikini area, I would use level 3, whereas; on my legs, I would use level 5. This varies upon individual.

Pain is should never always be apart of the game. I love the Silk'n SensEpil, you experience moderate pain at best. I honestly didn't experience any, however; everyone is different. Definitely not as painful as most hair removing systems, as well as, professional laser treatments.

If you are someone who trusts FDA approved products, you will not only love the Silk'n SensEpil, but appreciate it, much more so, as a result. The Silk'n SensEpil has been approved by the FDA.

This product is discreet. If you go to the salon and have an array of women staring at you, with the Silk'n SensEpil, you will not have that. You can use this product anywhere.

CONS

If you are one who is expecting instantaneous results, you may not find the Silk'n SensEpil device appealing. Results are not visible until after at least two to four uses, minimum and vary upon person.

Like most Home Pulsed Light (HPL) hair removing systems, the Silk'n SensEpil is not suitable for naturally dark skin tones. My skin is naturally tan (I am an NC42, if that says anything) and I had no issues with this product, however; I am well aware that others are different. I would recommend doing a test at level 1 before using this product, long-term. The Silk'n SensEpil has a pigment detector that actually shuts down if the skin is too dark.

The Silk'n SensEpil and the sun do not mix. In fact, if you go tanning or are in the sun often, it is not recommended that you use the Silk'n SensEpil hair removing device.

Because this product is an electrical device, it is recommended that you do not use the Silk'n SensEpil device in or near water.

RATING - 93.5%

You can purchase the Silk'n SensEpil at Sephora for $499. You can purchase additional lamp cartridges for the Silk'n SensEpil for just $50. Would I recommend Silk'n SensEpil? Absolutely.
