Silver Floss Barrel Cured Shredded Sauerkraut

Bernadette
We enjoy eating sauerkraut with some of our meals. We thought that all sauerkraut was the same, well, we were wrong. The other day while grocery shopping, we decided to purchase a 27 oz. can of Silver Floss Barrel Cured Shredded Sauerkraut.

This was the first time we purchased this Silver Floss Barrel Cured Shredded Sauerkraut in the can. A few days later, we ate some of the sauerkraut as a side dish, along with a green salad, and a piece of ham. The Silver Floss Barrel Cured Sauerkraut was very tasty. The sauerkraut was nicely shredded, with the pieces just the right size. After eating a forkful, my husband told me that this Silver Floss Barrel Cured Shredded Sauerkraut was the tastiest sauerkraut he had ever eaten. We will definitely buy this brand again.

The label shows a delicious sounding recipe for a Reuben Sandwich. It is a good idea that they offer a low-calorie version, for those who want to reduce their caloric intake. The low calorie version of the recipe uses mustard instead of Thousand Island dressing.

The label also mentions that you can make a variation of the sandwich using turkey and ham instead of the corned beef. We will try the sandwich recipe using the turkey and ham as soon as possible. We just need to buy all of the ingredients, including another can of the Silver Floss Barrel Cured Shredded Sauerkraut.

The label also makes a suggestion to rinse the sauerkraut with water to lower one's sodium intake.
