My child said to me, while sobbing at his plight,
"I am so slow, I cannot rush
if I want to do things right.
My fingers are small and they don't work, how I want,
when I try to tie my shoe.
How will I learn to do it all
the way you and Daddy do?"
I dried his tears and kissed his face
and told him about the little snail,
who takes so long to move a foot
and leaves a sparkling, slime trail.
He moves so slowly, inch by inch,
munching pretty flowers on his way,
Accomplishing what he wants
just living day to day.
He goes unnoticed by most of us
just nibbling and sliding along,
on slippers made of goo.
The little snail who moves so unrelentingly,
has lots of work to do.
As you grow you will learn
to do the things you need,
with assurance and with speed.
Just remember always, that
God has a plan for you.
Until then just think about, the tiny little snail
who moves so slowly and appears
to do no work.
He eats his fill of pretty flowers,
and leaves a shiny, silver trail.

Great piece with a great message. Thanks for sharing. :-)
You are so very talented! Great message too!
This is wonderful.Thank you!
How reassuring and peaceful! Trekking along trusting God's timing, purposes and plans instead of our own -- challenging at times (lived out faith is never a crutch!), but always the best results! Thanks for the reminder! :)
Oh that was very nice. I am almost in tears. Yes God's timing is not ours and I am on His time even as I am typing this :)... beautiful!
