SimCity 4 is an exciting game, offering a realistic perspective on being mayor. Though being a mayor can be a lot of fun, there are a lot of problems along the way. Some issues of being a mayor deal with money and a lack of resources. While the problem is hard to fix in real life, SimCity 4 is a game, and some of these issues can be cleared up in seconds. Using the cheats below will make the game much easier, and perhaps more enjoyable.

When the game is loaded and you are in your town, hold control + x to bring up the cheat menu. Once you have held both keys, you should see a gray box in the top left of the screen. This is the box you will use to type in the cheats.

weaknesspays

Typing in the cheat weaknesspays will give you an instant 1000 simoleons. Sorry to say, but this is the only money cheat available in the game. This means you will have to repeat the code over several times if you are looking to gather a lot of money.

fightthepower

This code will grant you the ability to power a city without a power plant. Not having a city running on power plants can benefit you in many ways.The first thing you will notice is the amount of space you save. Originally you were using up several squares to locate your power plant. This in turn meant you were not able to build something else there. Putting in this cheat will save you a lot of space.

The next thing you will recognize will be the large amount of money you save each month in your budget. Without the cheat, you spend several hundreds each month to maintain your power plants. After inserting the code, you will be able to save that money and spend it on something better.

The last benefit is the lower pollution. You will no longer have to worry about frustrated residents because of the pollution coming from a neighboring coal or oil plant.

howdryiam

This cheat does the same thing the fightthepower cheat did; only it deals with water. Now you will be able to build a city without water towers, yet you will never experience a water drought anymore.

weaknesspays

Using this cheat will unlock all rewards in the game. You will now have the ability to use the space station, zoo, golf course and university.

zoneria

Be cautious when using this cheat. When you zone for land, you normally see a yellow, green or blue box. Once you have entered in this cheat, you no longer see any of the colored boxes. Now the land will appear as normal grass.
