Simon's Cat: Best-Ever Animated Cat Cartoons

Animated Cartoons for Anyone Who Ever Knew a Cat

Catherine Dagger
Anyone who's ever owned a cat or lived with a cat will so-o recognise Simon's cat as the epitome of, well, cat-ness. The nonchalance, the determination, the manipulative ways...

Simon Tofield is a gifted cartoonist who animates his cartoons with around 25 drawings per second of each cartoon. He makes all the cat sounds himself and has no shortage of material for his imagination as he owns 4 cats.

Once Simon's Cat found his way onto the internet he quickly attracted an audience of millions. There is now a website for these short cartoons, with a film on their creation, a gallery and a shop.

If you've ever owned a cat these cartoons are guaranteed to make you laugh. In "Let Me In" Simon's cat is determined to get his owner to open the door and in "TV Dinner", well, he just wants to be the centre of attention.

If you like these two you'll find more on the website: http://www.simonscat.com/

"Cat Man Do" shows Simon's Cat in the not-so-gentle process of waking his owner.

In "Fly Guy" he tries to catch a fly without much regard for Simon's belongings and in "Snow Business" he goes through the annual cat ritual of getting acquainted with snow.

"Hot Spot" shows Simon at work on a cartoon, until his cat intervenes.

Enjoy them.
