We all are looking for simple, affordable and easy ideas when it comes to decorating. We are looking for ways to make our money stretch further. We are doing this out of necessity and we are doing this as a way of being frugal. Yet, we want our homes to look nice. For these reasons, we all should consider as many budge friendly ideas we hear and consider if they could work in our home. Here are a few of those types of ideas:
Consider Painting Your Bedroom Ceiling
Looking for a new look for your bedroom? Are you planning on painting it? Why not paint the ceiling a different color than plain white? Why not paint it a pale blush? Think about how nice it will make your skin look in comparison.
Use Bath Accessories In Other Areas Of The Home
One reason, many of us loves those bath accessories is that they really aren't that expensive. This gives us another reason to dress up our bathroom. But have you ever thought about how you could use these accessories in other parts of your home? For instance, those trays that we use on top of toilet tank to keep our hair accessories in would be perfect to house remote controls. They would also look nice in our bedroom to store some of our cell phone, wallets or keys.
Update An Old Dresser With Some Glossy White Paint
Another simple, affordable and easy decorating idea that can give your room an instant look is to update a piece of furniture like an old dresser. How can you give an old dresser an instant update? Why not grab some glossy white paint and your paint brush? All you need to do is paint the fronts of the drawers. Then add some new hardware to them. Now you instantly have a glam look to that old dresser.
Purchase A Big Woven Basket To Serve As A Catch All
Are you tired of all the clutter? Do you want a place to put it all? Purchase a big, woven basket. Make sure it is deep. Now place it near the front door. Your family will have a place to store: backpacks, lunch boxes, shoes, etc. Plus, it will right where they need it.
Update A Wall With a Small Picture Ledge
If you want to give an area above a dresser or a mantel an update, you can just place a small picture ledge over it. You can then add a small picture, a small mirror or a knick knack or two on it.
Yes, these are simple, affordable and easy decorating tips. But they are also budget friendly decorating tips.

Refreshing ideas!
Linda, great tips on decorating. I have a basket that sits on the piano. We all put our keys in it when we come in the front door. We always know where our keys are.
I'm so lucky that my husband is a basket weaver. But, he needs to weave a basket to put all of his weaving materials into! LOL cheers :)
Great job!
