Simple Beauty Tricks to Hide a Hangover

Tips to Disguise a Hangover

Ranee Wright
'Tis the season many drink too much and have to deal with the consequential hangover. If you have somewhere to go and need to cover-up that dreaded hangover look, I suggest following these face beauty tips and tricks, some nice perfume and dressing nicely. Eyeglasses are also a nice touch. And, don't pull your hair back today, haha.

6 Steps and Beauty Tricks to Hide a Hangover: Successfully conceal your indiscretions by making puffy eyes, undereye circles, and pale skin disappear.

Step 1: Cleanse your face. For exfoliating facial mask ideas that contain antioxidants, read this article: Simple Tips to Decrease Wrinkles

Step 2: For puffy eyes: Apply cold compress to your eyes for a few minutes. Cucumbers or chilled wet chamomile tea bags work great. Your eyes will thank you for this simple hangover tip!

Step 3: Using moisturizer after exfoliating will give your face a beautiful glow.

PhysiciansFormula's Organic wear® 100% Natural Origin Tinted Moisturizer has a lovely scent and sells for $11.95 for 1.5 oz./44 ml (available in 4 different shades) SPF 15, free of synthetics and parbens. Ingredients are 80% certified organic: jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil, avocado oil, and shea butter.

Step 4: Apply blush (a shade brighter than usual) to just the apples of your cheeks, followed by foundation for a natural look. Face beauty tip: Using illuminating primers/powders and glossy lipstick make for a lovely glow.

Step 5: Cover up dark undereye circles.

Eve Pearl's Salmon Concealer® & Treatment (3.25 g mirrored compact for $35). It contains powerful antioxidants and works well with most skin types, even sensitive skin.

Alternatively, apply orange lipstick on the bags under your eyes, followed by concealer.

Step 6: Finally, apply eye shadow and mascara. Light browns and natural color eye shadow will brighten your face and lengthening mascara works best since volumizers and thickening formulas cast shadows that highlight undereye bags.

Hangover tip: Remember how bad you feel so next time you recognize when to stop drinking. Even better, don't drink! Or, have a glass of wine with dinner a few days per week. (No, that's not me in the picture but not proud to say, "I've been there.")
