Decorating for the holidays is a fun time but year after year, you are always looking for something new. Here are some ideas for this years holiday party season.

Lemons and Limes in a Vase

Here is a simple party centerpiece idea that is made out of things you would have on had. Take a tall vase and fill it with some lemons and limes, then add some water and put several floating candles on top. This is nice to use as the centerpiece for the dining table or on the coffee table. If you don't have a tall vase, you can go to Michaels or your local craft store. If you don't have floating candles, you can take unscented tea lights and remove from the tin and place in the water, they will float.

Floating Candles

Here is a simple candle arrangement that just uses water, flowers and candles for the party centerpeice. Take a wide vase and fill it with water, add a few drops of food coloring and then just add the candles. If you don't have floating candles, you can take unscented tea lights and remove from the tin and place in the water, they will float.

Martini Coming Right Up

Here is a great party centerpiece for those having a cocktail party during the holiday season. Get a martini glass shaped vase, you can find at Michaels and place some green olives with the pit on the bottom, fill with water and add some floating candles on top. If you don't have floating candles, you can take unscented tea lights and remove from the tin and place in the water, they will float.

Flower Vase with a Twist

Here is a simple party centerpiece using lentils and two vases. Make sure the two vases can fit inside each with ample room. Place the smaller vase in the larger one and fill the gap with lentils. Then add water to the inner vase and add fresh cut flowers. Instead of lentils, you can use small candies.

Rice it Up

Here is a quick party centerpiece that uses a wide vase. It can be tall or short. Pedestal bowls work really well for this too. Take the bowl and fill with it wit rice. Then add tea light candles and embed in the rice. I usually use 5 tea lights and in between them, I insert whole cloves to make a border. You can also use cinnamon.

Flower Away

You can really make an impression by using fresh flowers for your next party. Take a large plate or something that has a lip and take the petals off the flowers and arrange in a design on the plate. Then add some tea lights for some accents.

Ornaments in a Bowl

Take a large serving bowl and fill it with your favorite ornaments. This is a simple and festive way to add some holiday cheer to your party able!

Lights, Flowers, Dinner

Take a large platter and cover with rose petals. Then take several different sized pillar candles and arrange on the platter. Then add some small tea lights to accent the candle arrangement and you will have a well lit party focus for your table.
