The purchaser will pay $12.99 for the sim card kit, which will ship within two days. If by chance the phone they are planning to use is locked by the contract carrier, Simple Mobile has solutions to unlock the phone. Customers can transfer their old or current phone number to their new phone once they've activated the Simple Mobile service.

Needless to say, this could cause a huge problem for large wireless phone companies in a market that's highly competitive already.
