Prepare
The first thing you need to do when you are trying to find a job is to prepare your entire past job references first. What I recommend is that you write on a sheet of paper all of the past jobs that you have worked in the past. Make sure you include the employer, the date hired, phone number of the company, your job duties, the address of the company, and your supervisors name. You should go ahead and have all of your past employment ready on a sheet of paper. This will cut down on you having to remember everything and you can just transfer the information that you have over to the employer's application.
Never Stop after the first Job
A lot of people get discouraged when they go and find a place they want to work for and they find out that they have no need for them. You can not find a job by giving up on the first employer that tells you no. There are plenty of jobs that are out there, but you must go out and look. You need to be filling out 10-20 applications a day. Just filling out 2-3 applications a day is not going to get you a job. Don't feel dishearten if employer tells you no. Thank them for there time and go on to the next one.
Ask Around About Jobs
There are certain things that you will never know if you do not ask, and this saying can go well with looking for a job. You need to let other people know that you are in the process of job hunting. Sometimes it is who you know that can land you a great job. Most people are willing to help you out if you are willing to let them know what you situation is. You want to make sure that if a certain person helps you land a job, do your very best at the job. You are a reflection of the person that recommended you and if you do not do a great job, then you are making them look bad.
There you have it. Follow these tips and you will be much closer to having a job.
