Millions of searches are done online every day, and some of these searches are specifically for people. Sometimes people search for others to find out how to contact that person or simply find information about old classmates from high school or college. You might be surprised to find out how many times someone has searched for you on the internet. There are various sites like reunion.com that can show you how many times someone has searched for your name on their particular site. However if you would like to see how many people have been searching for you on Google there are certain steps you need to take.

Sign up for a free google ad words account. You don't need a web site to create an ad words account. You can simply sign up for an account and use it for the other features such as the key word tools. Visit google.com.

Click on the link located in the upper right hand corner labeled sign in or google accounts. From there simply follow the directions to open a free ad words account. You will need to create your own user name and password as well as supplying other information such as your address.

Log in to your new account. Once your new account has been created log in using your username and password. Use the tools given to you by ad words. Once you are logged into your account click on the tab at the top of the screen that says campaign management.

Click on tools. After you click on the account management tab more links will show up. Click on the tools link.

Click on keyword tools. Once you click on keyword tools a new screen will pop up with a place for you to type in a keyword or keyword phrase. Type your first and last name in the space provided. Then click keyword ideas. The screen will then populate how many times someone searched for your name, and other similar names for the previous month.
