The foods that contain the most vitamin D are fish such as salmon, tuna and mackerel and cold pressed fish liver oils. Smaller amounts of vitamin D are found in beef liver, cheese and egg yolks.
Increasing your intake of essential fatty acids (EFAs) is a another way to improve calcium absorption. You can take EFAs as a dietary supplement. It is available in liquid and capsule forms. The liquid is mild in flavor and must be refrigerated once opened. The best brands come in a light-proof black bottle. Use this blend of natural oils by adding it to salad dressings, yogurt, smoothies or other foods.
