Serves 10
1 bag frozen Fordhook Lima Beans
1 bag frozen Corn, either White or Yellow
pinch Salt and Pepper to taste
1/2 stick Butter

Directions for Simple Succotash

1
Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil
Add the bag of Lima Beans and cook 6 minutes at a rolling boil. Add the bag of Corn and cook another 6 minutes at a rolling boil. Drain the water from the pot.
Add the 1/2 stick of butter and stir well. Salt and Pepper to taste.
2
Pour Simple Succotash into a serving dish
Use a large white serving bowl, which will set off the colors of the green lima beans and yellow corn. Decorate the dish with a sprig of mint or parsley if desired.
3
Leftovers
If there are leftovers, they will heat up nicely the next day. It is best to use Simple Succotash within two days.
Tip
No not cook lima beans in the microwave, they will turn to rubber.
When you cook lima beans on the stove, do not leave the room. They tend to boil over and that will make a mess.
