Simply Driven - Rhymed Desire to Aspire Much Higher
For Those of Us Who Cannot Stop, Still Questing for the Very Top
Resignation? NO, not me!
It's something I could never be.
I'll struggle, scratch, cajole and beg
To raise the bar another peg,
But signing off, I cannot do.
I cannot lay it down; 'tis true.
It's something I could never be.
I'll struggle, scratch, cajole and beg
To raise the bar another peg,
But signing off, I cannot do.
I cannot lay it down; 'tis true.
I'll labor till, one day, I'll fall,
Although my back's against the wall.
Determination sends me forth
To try to prove again my worth,
Although I know it's in His hand,
A resignation I can't stand.
Resignation? NO, not me!
It's something I could never be.

SOOOOOOOOOOO good!
Inspiring.
Sound like Bush! hahahah! LOved your poem As to you question, I used to be driven by worry, worring I would not get everything done, worrying about everyone else, worrying if I wrote something it would be awful and so forth. I'm too old to be driven now. I just do what come naturally and when time permits I write. I enjoy it and it brings me happiness to do this. Thankfully a few people think I am fair at it. Grin! When you get old you realize that things happen and you forget about being driven to do anything but drive to the doctors. hahhaha
Lovely!!! This sounds like me!!! Great job on this one Linda. :)
