Looking like it came straight out of the cartoon set, this curvy, yellow donut maker measures twenty-five by twenty-six by seven centimeters. The Simpsons Doughnut Maker is convenient, easy to use, and put away, given its small size. You can keep The Simpsons Doughnut Maker on the counter top, or stow it away anytime.
The Simpsons Doughnut Maker looks like a grilled cheese sandwich maker. The only difference is that when you open this yellow machine, there are six donut molds. The surface is non-stick, which I am not sure Homer Simpson would approve of. No oil? No way! This is good for us though as it minimizes the fat, and makes it super easy to clean.
The Simpsons Doughnut Maker comes with recipes so that anyone can make donuts of different flavors and toppings. The Simpsons Doughnut Maker's recipes are standard recipes, which were surprisingly delicious and produced an even and easy to cook batter. The Simpsons Doughnut Maker itself surprisingly too, produced evenly baked donuts. They kind of taste "low-fat" though, given that they are not deep-fried.
The Simpsons Doughnut Maker's donuts molds are really small, around two inches in diameter each. We gobbled up the donuts right away, which was quite funny because every time we would make a new batch, we were never able to fill up the plate because we kept gobbling up the donuts that were freshly made. Homer Simpson would have gobbled up all six in one bite!
The Simpsons Doughnut Maker also comes in a red color, however I really prefer the yellow one as it looks more "Simpsons". The red Simpsons Doughnut Maker has the face of Homer Simpson on its front cover, with a thought bubble saying "MMM, Donuts". The yellow donut maker says "MMM Forbidden Donuts". These details make The Simpsons Doughnut Maker even more cuter and great gifts.
The Simpsons Doughnut Maker sells for fifty dollars, which is quite a steal for all the donut goodness we have gotten out of it. I am planning to give this gift out next Christmas to my office mates, especially the fat, balding males! I will probably get one for my father too.
