Lindsey Russell
If you are a fan of The Simpsons, but don't have the time to search the Internet for the best Simpsons fan sites, this is the guide for you. The websites listed below will provide even the most knowledgeable Simpsons fan with new trivia knowledge. As The Simpsons Movie will be in theaters this July, there has never been a better time to get reacquainted with your favorite Springfield residents.

Simpsons Fan Site #1 - www.thesimpsons.com - The Official Simpsons Website

The official site is a great place to begin for any Simpsons fan who is new to the sheer wealth of information on-line dedicated to the most famous cartoon family of all time, or at least on of the most famous. This site includes an interactive Springfield, a column written by Krusty the Klown (Krusty Komments), episodes guides, and detailed character sketches. It also includes a popular forum and information regarding the upcoming release of the much-anticipated movie. Even though it contains a lot of information, it is far from the last authority on The Simpsons.

Simpsons Fan Site #2 - www.snpp.com - The Simpsons Archive

This particular website contains access to the most up to date information regarding Springfield news, little known facts and references in The Simpsons episodes, and much more. It is well designed, easy to use, and their Episodes Capsules offer much original content.

Simpsons Fan Site #3 - www.simpsonschannel.com - Simpsons Channel

The Simpsons Channel contains information that you just won't find anywhere else. It includes information on the lesser-known Simpsons comic books, full segments of promotional ads for the upcoming movie (once they've aired on Fox), and information regarding upcoming episodes. In addition, it contains ratings information and news archives.

Simpsons Fan Site #4 - www.lardlad.com - Last Exit to Springfield

This is simply one of the most extensive Simpsons websites on-line. It contains links to merchandise, games, facts, trivia, multimedia files, clipart, and even a link to ask an expert your most pressing Simpsons questions. It also contains a forum, but overall, the site has remained pretty quiet. It is your best bet if you'd like to turn your computer into a shrine to your favorite Springfield residents.

Simpsons Fan Site #5 - www.nohomers.net - No Homers!

This particular site not only contains a lot of original content, it contains a morgue. The morgue contains a collection of Simpsons websites and information that are now defunct. In essence, it is an archive for all Simpsons web content. The website also includes lots of trivia, quizzes, forums, and additional fun features.

Whether you are a Simpsons fan or not, you have to acknowledge their impact on our culture. It is due to the writers' ability to lampoon our society week after week in a family-oriented cartoon that truly makes the Simpsons one of a kind. The Simpsons have been around for 18 years and they aren't going anywhere any time soon. In fact, the ratings for The Simpsons are on the rise. With a new movie in the works, they are sure to continue to grow in popularity.
