Sims 3 Cheats: How to Become a Vampire Faster

A Step-by-step Guide Which Doesn't Require Any Game Mods

Lori May
The Sims 3 Late Night expansion introduced Vampire Sims, and since then many players have been wondering how to become a vampire faster in the video game using Sims 3 cheats, specific techniques, or any other means necessary. If you don't have the Sims 3 Late Night expansion yet, and you've been wondering what the deal is with Sims 3 vampires, my comparison article may be helpful: Sims 3 Vampires: Comparing the Sims 3 and Sims 2 Versions.

Becoming a Vampire in the Sims 3 takes quite a bit of effort. Your Sim needs a good relationship with the Vampire Sim before they can request to be inducted into the nocturnal world of the undead. The following technique will enable you to build a high relationship level with a default Vampire Sim much more quickly, though it will be a romantic relationship. You can use the following Sims 3 cheat method to develop a platonic friendship with the Vampire Sim, but it will take considerably longer and not be as fool-proof as the romantic version.

Step 1: Enable the Sims 3 master cheat code. When on the Main Menu, press Ctrl + Shift + C to access the cheat bar along the top of the screen. Type in the master cheat code: cheatTestingenabled true.

Step 2: Use the Sims 3 lifetime rewards cheat to access unlimited reward points. After you've enabled the cheat code, load into the Sims family of your choice. Once you have an active Sim, go to the lifetime rewards panel.

Bonus Tip: I highly recommend giving the Sim you wish to become a Vampire the Flirty trait during creation, as it will only enhance this Sims 3 cheat method. This is optional, of course!

Step 3: While holding Ctrl, left click your mouse near the lower right corner of the treasure chest icon. Finding the exact spot can be difficult at first. Try hovering your mouse over the bottom right corner of the chest, and moving it a few pixels at a time to the right towards the current number of points. When you find the right spot, your Sim will gain 500 points each time you click!

Step 4:Purchase the lifetime reward "Master of Seduction." This reward guarantees your Sim's romantic endeavors will be received favorably, even if the current relationship between the two characters is too low for it to normally succeed. This is where the Flirty trait comes in handy, which gives a Sim earlier access to the more advanced romantic actions. This lifetime reward costs 15,000 points.

Bonus Tip: When using the romance technique for becoming a Vampire Sim faster, any lifetime reward traits which deal with romance, appeal, charisma and appearance will only enhance this method, though they are not required. Eye Candy, Attractive, and Never Dull can all be very helpful. If your Sim has other romantic connections, No Jealousy can enable you to use this technique without ruining those other relationships, as it removes jealousy.

Bonus Tip: If you do not want to go the romance route, you can purchase lifetime reward traits which will enhance platonic interactions. Excellent Groupie, Legendary Host, Long Distance Friend, and Never Dull can speed-up the process without using the romance method. Please note, the platonic method does take considerably longer than the romance route with Master of Seduction!

Step 5: Have your Master of Seduce Sim start to woo the Vampire Sim. Thanks to the irresistible quality of this lifetime reward, your Sim is essentially guaranteed a romantic connection at a fraction of the time normally required for building such a high-level relationship.

Step 6: Have your Sim ask the Vampire to turn them. Once your Sim has a high relationship with the Vampire-or better yet, the love icon-have your Sim request the kiss of eternal darkness! Now you have a playable Vampire Sim, and you can enjoy all the perks and drawbacks to being undead on the Sims 3 without laboring for hours to build a friendship!
