Sims 3 Cheats: How to Remove Jealousy in the Sims 3

Eliminate Unpleasant Reactions to Flirting Without a Game Mod

Lori May
Many fans of this popular video game have wondered how to remove jealousy in The Sims 3, as the available Sims 3 cheats lack a of simple, default cheat code for that purpose. The ability to completely remove jealousy from The Sims 2 was a very popular cheat code, but the game designers opted to leave that feature out of the list of cheats accessible in the latest version of the franchise. If you would like to completely remove jealousy from your Sims 3 game, and you do not want to install game mods or hacks, look no further! This technique for eliminating jealousy is quick and easy. Considering the Sims 3 version of jealousy is even more advanced-and possibly unrealistic-than the Sims 2 version, removing it entirely can lend some sneaky, questionable opportunities for your romantically inclined Sims.

I have personally verified this method for removing jealousy, and found it to be quick, easy and effective for the PC version of the Sims 3 video game. The following guide begins just after Sim creation-when your Sim has very little lifetime reward points. If you have a more accomplished Sim with some points saved-up, feel free to skip to Step 3.

Step 1: Enable the Sims 3 master cheat on the Main Menu screen. You must type Ctrl + Shift + C to access the cheat window, and then type in the master cheat code: testingCheatsenabled true. You must do this on the Main Menu, rather than during normal game play.

Step 2: Select your Sim, then access the lifetime rewards panel. You will need to hold down the Ctrl button while clicking your left mouse button on a very specific spot. Find the treasure chest icon, and hover your mouse over the lower right-hand corner of the symbol. Then, move it to the right a few pixels at a time, until you find the sweet spot. This will give your active Sim 500 points per click.

Step 3: Purchase the "No Jealousy" lifetime reward for 10,000 points. This removes jealousy-based reactions from other Sims, but not that Sim's personal reactions. Thus, the Sim is still capable of becoming jealous, but anyone romantically linked to he or she will not respond with jealousy to any flirting--or other romantic actions--the Sim indulges in.

Bonus Tip: If you want to truly remove jealousy from your Sims 3 game, make sure you purchase this lifetime reward for every Sim in your household who is romantically linked. Of course, this does not influence the Sims in neighborhood you do not control as a player, but it does remove jealousy from your active household(s).
