Poetry: An Emotional Expression of Thoughts
In the pale darkness, I wipe the tears from my face.
It has been long since I last saw you-
Since I last held your hand.
During that somber winter day, you told me you loved me.
You told me you will watch over me.
I haven't forgotten those calm words.
As streams ran down my cheeks, I stuttered to respond.
I didn't tell you I loved you.
And now you're gone.
Now I carry this within me for as long as I live,
Until I see you again.
