Sinclair Community College offers Associate degree programs in both Arts and Sciences. Certificate programs are also available. Career programs are available in Accounting, Architectural Technology, Control Technology with Robotics, Aviation Technology, Biotechnology, Business Management and Nursing, just to name a few of the many programs available. Individualized programs of study are also available. From Liberal Arts to Science, Math and Technology there are plenty of courses and programs to choose from.
Besides traditional on site classes the college also offers on-line and satellite learning opportunities. There are over eight different other locations for classes, and courses vary by quarter. There are more than 180 courses and 5 degrees available completely on-line. With an enrollment of over 20,000 students the main campus is one of the largest in North America. (Plenty of parking is available for the campus with a rate of $2 or $1 if paid with a Tartan card.)
The student to faculty ratio is 19 to 1. This is among the lowest ratios of Ohio colleges and allows students to receive much more individual attention and help with their academic needs. There are more than 40 organizations and clubs active on the campus to add to academic and social pursuits. Counseling and career services are available as well as tutorial assistance.
Sinclair Community College awards an average of close to $29,000,000 in scholarships and financial aid every year making the opportunity for continued education more readily available to all. Sinclair has one of the lowest tuition rates in the state at $45 per credit hour for Montgomery County residents. The tuition rate for other Ohio residents is $73.50 per credit hour. There is an additional $5 per credit hour fee for on-line courses.
Graduates of Sinclair Community College can go directly in to the employment market or transfer to a four year college or university. The college also offers individual course to improve job skills as well as course for personal enrichment. In all Sinclair Community College offers an extensive learning opportunity at an affordable tuition rate. The Dayton Ohio area itself offers quite a bit of recreation and entertainment options for the needed study breaks.
