Singer Lily Allen Suffers Miscarriage

Renee Bagley
Singer Lily Allen has suffered another miscarriage according to her rep, who made the announcement today via the Associated Press.

The British singer is certainly no stranger to controversy. She is very out spoken and controversy has surrounded her career since the beginning. She has outspoken interviews, is very unabashed and not afraid to say what she thinks. In 2007, she was accused of assaulting a photographer, has written negative comments about people in her lyrics, and she has also admitted to using cocaine. Not many people are that brave.

Lily Rose Beatrice Allen was born on May 2, 1985 in Hammersmith, London. She has two siblings and several half-siblings. She is the goddaughter of the late guitarist of The Clash, Joe Strummer. Allen was originally signed to Warner Music, but she left the label with the help of her dad's connections. The folk songs she recorded are still unreleased. By 2005, she was signed to Regal Records where she recorded her first album. The album was titled Alright, Still and it hit the list of top albums released in 2006.

Her most recent album, It's Not Me, It's You took her music in a completely new direction, as she worked with new people to create a new sound. By 2010, she decided to take a break and career hiatus.

Allen (25) and Sam Cooper are asking for privacy during this time. Almost three years ago Allen suffered a miscarriage during her relationship with Ed Simons. Allen calls having children her main goal in life. The star is once again finding that she has to overcome adversity.

Here's wishing the best for Lily Allen!

I love her because she is so outspoken! Her music is the best! My heart goes out to her because I know what it is like to suffer a miscarriage. I've had two myself.

Poor girl. Hopefully she can keep her chin up and not give up on having kids. It sucks that her personal life is so public though, I wouldn't want anyone to know if I ever had a miscarriage

I'm sorry to hear this. I really love her album and I think she's got something special going on. If people listen carefully to the words of her songs you'll see she's not just using swear words to shock, but to make a specific point - which is very much different than some of the crap you hear today.
