Singers You Should Know Jonathan Clay, Ferras, Eric Hutchinson

Three Men & Their Music. These Young Men Are Talented, Listen for Yourself

Vonda Menard
There are three young male singers you should be listening to, but probably aren't. Part of the problem is their lack of radio play. It's hard to break into the music business and harder to get air time on the radio Unfortunately, talent alone may not be enough. I'm a huge music fan and love songs with good lyrics and a good melody. In a competitive music business, if you don't have the money or the backing, of a big name agent or record company, the road is tough. These are three young male singers and songwriters that have the talent to make it, but just need some exposure. So, without further delay, here's their fifteen minutes

Jonathan Clay is a young musician in his 20's. His music has been featured on television shows, Lincoln Heights, The Hills, and the Real World. His sound is similar to Gavin DeGraw. This One's for Me is a very catchy song, featuring great guitar licks. He shows off his beautiful lyrics in songs, Back to Good, After All and Wonderful. You can check out his music on his myspace page, all the songs from his album, Jonathan Clay The Acoustic, are available. Jonathan is currently on a college tour, with the dates and locations on his website. For more information on this incredible young musician you can also check out his website, www.jonathanclay.com. Give his music a try, it's upbeat, relevant and enjoyable, you can find it on myspace and itunes.

Ferras, is a piano playing singer, songwriter. His song, Hollywood's not America, was featured on American Idol last season. He's been referred to as baby Elton (Elton John) and listening to his piano play on the album, you can see why. Take My Lips and Soul Rock are silky and smooth. Hollywood's not America is a bona fide hit that I could listen to repeatedly. Ferras' album, Aliens & Rainbows, is available on itunes and at wal-mart and target. Ferras is poised to be a breakout star, he just needs to get the one big break.

Eric Hutchinson is, a fun young singer, songwriter. He's enjoying some success with his song, Rock n Roll. The album, Sounds like Something, contains several upbeat songs with great beats. It's Alright with Me is a very fun song as is, All Over Now. Hutchinson's music has the power to cure your blues and it's understandable that he's drawn comparison to Jason Mraz. The similarity is especially evident in, Rock n Roll. Eric is also on the road touring and the dates and locations can be found on his myspace page and his website www.erichutchinson.com.

These three men have immense talent. They write songs, play instruments and sing brilliantly. But, don't listen to me, go listen for yourself and maybe you'll agree. I'm sure you have room on your mp3 player, for a few new songs.
