I cannot imagine my life without you
I do not even want to try.
Each minute we have to spend apart
Is an hour for my mind and my heart.
I can hear your voice in all of your moods.
I can hear you laugh or yell.
I can hear your surprise and disappointment
Or a story you have to tell.
I can hear the raw emotion
That lies deep within your voice.
It matches the emotion in your eyes
Impossible for you to disguise.
I know your voice and remember your touch.
I feel the memory of your hand on my face.
The next touch will not be soon enough
For I don't want this memory to erase.
Do not give any of it time to fade.
For that would bring me much pain.
Keep the memories new and alive
With a feeling of a new, spring rain.
Touch me every chance you get.
Speak my name from your lips.
I will cling to these thoughts when we're apart
Like love given in small sips.
