We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful town and we all want to savor the many sights throughout Ashland. Our lives are rich with colors and shapes. For those who are living with vision problems, the message is one of hope--that help is right here in our neighborhood.

At Siskiyou Eye Center, you can have everything from a simple eye exam to cataract surgery (and much more) all done at the same location. Their focus is on quality and from the time you place your first phone call to them, you will realize their entire staffs commitment to your care, health and well being. You matter and they care about your health. Visit David, Pat and the rest of their fabulous staff and observe what a difference this can make.

Dr. David England, OD is an optometrist who is relatively new to the area. He and his wife Kathryn moved here from Alabama in 2003, after a three year Army commitment at Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville where he provided primary eye care to soldiers and their families. "I gained a lot of professional experience at Redstone. I was put in charge of running the clinic there and worked with people of many ages." He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. One thing that makes Dr. England stand out from his peers is his dedication to listening to his patients. "I enjoy what I do. I like being able to spend time with my patients and answer their questions", he says. "Far too often, I think patients get shuffled around, but by listening to people you get a better idea of what is going on. I like interacting with my patients." He works closely with Doctors William Epstein and Robert Ewing, who are both well known and respected throughout the Rogue Valley.

Dr. England is a man with strong values and a commitment to our community. "Kathryn and I have four children and we are active in our church." With three young boys, he is involved with local Eagle Scout programs and treasures spending time with his family.

You can learn a lot about a business by looking at how hard working and loyal their staff is and one of the highest commendations about Siskiyou Eye Center is found in their long term employees. Combined, you will find more than 100 years of optical experience along with genuine friendliness and humor. Visit optical office manager, Pat Moore who is a Master Certified Optician and he will tell you some of the benefits of their "one stop" shopping. ""We buy from people with the best service, the most modern up to date styles and the newest technology in lenses. They make such a big difference in the quality of vision. It's essential that you stay on top of technology and lens technology changes all the time. We also carry frames that you won't find in other places."

Having an in store lab means that Siskiyou Eye Center can turn things around very quickly for their customers. As Pat explains, "Our lab ensures that we can offer very competitive prices. Sometimes people think they will spend twice the amount of money and they are surprised at how competitive we really are. Some of the larger chains are more focused on "knocking out" quantity. We concentrate on quality." As someone who has been in the optical business for 32 years, Pat knows what he is talking about.

Pat and his wife have lived in the Rogue Valley for two years. "We fell in love with Southern Oregon. Nothing else compares to living here. This is truly God's country." They have three grown daughters and four grandchildren. "This is our time now. We like to explore the area, play golf. We're getting ready to purchase a home and we are both excited about that."

Siskiyou Eye Center is currently accepting new patients of all ages. From infants to seniors, they can help you with all of your eye care needs at an affordable price. Visit their beautiful office and "see" what a difference experience and quality can make.
