'Sister Wives' the Brown Family Revealed on TLC Special

Question for Meri, have you thought about leaving? Meri answered that she stays because of her commitment and her daughter, Mariah, but that there have been times when the stress and pressure has made her want to leave but that she knew she would not leave.

Janelle revealed that she had previously been married to Meri's brother. She divorced Meri's brother years before she married Kody. She said that she did not think it was a big deal and that she was surprised that people cared about such details.

What about health insurance? Kody responded that his employer is great and that when he first started with the company he did not add all of his children on his insurance plan because he did not want to expose his polygamist lifestyle. Then one of his children needed an emergency appendectomy, the wives said that they are still paying it off. Legally Kody can put one wife and all of his children on his health insurance policy at work. Janelle works and has her own health insurance through that plan. It is unclear how his unemployed wives such as Christine and Robyn are insured.

Christine revealed that she had a lot of jealousy issues during the courtship of Kody and Robyn. She felt that the issue over the wedding dress was just another sign that Kody cared about Robyn more than about her.

Meri was the one that originally thought that Robyn would be a good sister wife, but Kody was apprehensive at first. He did not want to marry someone that was divorced and had three children with David Preston Jessop. He said that he had the "ick factor" at first. Kody and Robyn married in May 2010. Kody says that Robyn's kids have two dads now because her kids are his kids, yet he will not take anything away from their dad.

All of the wives think that their family is stronger because of the addition of Robyn as the fourth sister wife. Do you need help on keeping the spark alive in your marriage?

Question for Robyn, do you think you are the last wife? Kody says he is done, but it gets brought up a lot.

What about life in the tabloids? Kody says that each week he hears about a different wife that will be leaving him in the tabloids. He doesn't ever believe it. Kody said that if one of the wives left he would work double time to make things work out. He would let her take her kids and he would ask her to live next door so that the kids would be close to him.

Meri talked about how she was fired because of the show or the lifestyle, but they all said that they have no regrets.

What about the investigation into bigamy? Cohabitation is also illegal, but the district attorney is deciding if the family will be prosecuted. The family said that they defer all questions to their attorney. They said that they are not trying to disrespect or stick their tongues out, they only want to show the lifestyle.

Their attorney said that they are a good and happy family that do not deserve to be prosecuted just because they are on television.

For avid fans, there were not many 'Sister Wives' secrets revealed on the show tonight, but at least they spoke candidly about their family.
