TLC's reality show "Sister Wives" is constantly making headlines. Kody Brown, husband to four wives has recently shelved an idea to add a fifth wife after his first four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn protest the idea. The hit show depicts a family of 21 in Lehi, Utah.

Kody Brown, the patriarch of the family married his first three wives 16 to 20 years ago. He just added his fourth wife this year under many tears and mild protests. Kody is giddy about his position in life, saying "I'm caught in a chick flick, and I'm loving it!"

Recently Kody suggested to the producers in a meeting about the show that he wanted to add a fifth wife. It is unknown if he wanted to add another wife because he wants one or if he thinks it will raise the ratings of the show. After his wives found out about the idea it was quashed.

Kody and his family are currently being investigated by a Utah district attorney who is not happy that the family is flaunting their illegal activity on national television. Normally the government does not go after polygamist families for bigamy convictions unless they are also committing other crimes such as rape, incest, forced marriage, fraud or other crimes. This blatant display of illegal activity is challenging law enforcement that does not have the resources to go after every polygamist family in Utah.

After watching the fun loving family, some people are questioning why polygamy is even illegal in the first place. The most obvious reason is that it simply does not work. In areas of Utah where many polygamist family's reside, there are high numbers of "lost boys" that are cast out simply because there are no young girls for them to marry. Many polygamist families end up on government assistance because they cannot afford to take care of their families on one salary.

Kody Brown's family seems to break all of the known polygamy rules. Some of his wives work out of the home to supplement the family income. Kody Brown makes a great salary as an advertising salesman. His family does not use public assistance. The women that he has married have all been relatively close to his age and all were well over the age of consent. Although Kody says that polygamy is a religious belief, there does not appear to be very much religion depicted on the popular TLC program "Sister Wives."

If Kody Brown and the "Sister Wives" do choose to add a fifth wife, the viewing public will eat it up and beg for more.

Kody Brown is a self indulgent spoiled little boy. He's so annoying he needs multiple wives so he doesn't annoy one to divorce. This way his annoyance is spread out among "the sisters" so its a bit more tolerable...for them. Don't know what these women see in the insensitive lout. He's not only exploiting his family now, he's endangering them. What a jerk.
