Sisters, but so Different..

Shaheen Darr
Sisters, one August born and the other a September birth

Karen grows up wanting to be heard, 'I want to do things my way'

These are words she utters as she goes about her day

'A little lioness' her mother says shaking her head as she walks away

'This girl will always have her way, proud and so full of self belief'

Jo is the Virgoan, quiet as a mouse, happy in her own company

Every task she undertakes is completed to perfection

Two sisters with the same blood and genes

But so different, one full of fire and the other, patient as the earth

They have their words the fire ignites the earth

It smoulders but one handful of dust and the fire is out

'I have had enough of her!' Karen screams 'she is too much to bear'

Jo carries on doing what she was doing thinking .... 'what a drama queen'

A few hours later they are both on the floor laughing at a silly joke

A quick hug and kiss, two sisters bonding again

A strange relationship this, different personalities born from one body

Each will live out her own separate life

Same blood but with a different story to tell

Well observed. Though it'd be boring if sisters were EXACTLY the same!

Very true. Sisters can be very different from each other.

Wow, Shaheen, reminds me of my sister, I think you hit the nail on the head, so many of us are so different but our differences are what bond us. Great job!

Just shows that the bond is stronger than the differences! Thanks for your comment, which led me to your page! Will be back to read the rest!
