The Women of my story SITA is the 2nd girl child in her large family. She was basically influenced by her paternal grand ma and their extraordinary cook whom she called "Awa garu". This lady "Awa garu" was a great scholar in Sanskrit and she used to teach young SITA from the age of 4 or 5 the slokas or hymns in Sanskrit and her teaching methods were also very unique. This lady was always busy in kitchen and, she used to love young Sita a lot. When ever Sita arrives she used to teach slokas and used sand for writing. Sand was ease to write on and can be erased. She taught young Sita Hindu mythological stories. This way young mind of Sita was influenced, and she grew in to a fine intellect, god fearing, polite decent and beautiful girl. She used to respect elders and always there to help old and sick persons.
Intellect
This story narrates those times when girls were not encouraged to go out of house or go to schools for education. But young Sita who was greatly influenced by "Awa garu" persuaded her father to allow her to go to school. In her native town there was only boy's school and girls were not allowed. But this young girl was determined to study went to school along with her elder brother persuaded and influenced all the teachers by her knowledge. Seeing young Sita's determination and interest in education the principal of the school allowed and that is how she was given admission in the boy's school. Her school was 5 kms away from home, young Sita used to go early in the morning after having her food. She was brilliant from her childhood and with that her determination, she soon out beat boys of her class and became the pet or darling to her teachers, who started taking special interest in her education. At the age of twelve she wanted to give kovid examination in Hindi. Passing of Kovid in Hindi was as good as passing Graduation in those days. Young Sita approached her father for approving her to sit for the Kovid exams. Her father at time was passing through economical difficulties top of that four of his son's were doing their Engineering outside the state, could not effort the fees of the Kovid examination. But seeing the determination of Young, beloved Sita their cook "Awa Garu" came forward with her pension and persuaded her father to allow Sita to sit for the exams. Young Sita also left no stone unturned read very hard and came out in flying colours in the Kovid examination. It was a proud movement for her,her father and to her school, because a small girl could do which even big boys could not dream about. She became even more darling to her teachers who took very special interest in her education. She was very good in her studies more in her mathematics. As she grew in to teens, she was given a special seat next to the teacher as her school was a boy's school. In leisure time and in lunch time she was given permission to sit in the staff room along with her teachers. In her HSc examination (School leaving examination) she stood first and she score cent percentage (those time it was called centum) in her mathematics. She was the first girl child in her family who stood such out standing marks. Her parent's Joy knew no bound. She soon joined her collage and there too because of her talents became the most liked student. But those times marriage was given priority over girl's education and she was given in marriage in her second year, on the day of her marriage her father came with heavy heart and said that her results are withheld as he had not filled his tax returns. Young Sita, who at time was only 17 years, could not say any thing. One side her Father who was passing through economical difficult which she knows very well other side she wanted to study which was her first love, remained salient. She passed in a second through a turbulence sea waves , which in a second pushed her up and down thousand times, her heart stopped beating, cold sweat started to flow on her face, she decided to remain salient only nodded her head. Her father who knew that how much Sita loves education broke his heart but he too was salient and only tears washed his face and fell on young Sita as a blessing, the tears showed how help less both father and daughter were feeling and passing at that moment. This only shows Sita's power of tolerance, strong will power and large heart she had.
After her marriage when went to her home she even didn't know how to make tea. Those times in her husband place there was no Gas, so she has to cook on a stove with saw dust and charcoal. Her mother-in law an elderly and strict women pushed Sita hard and with her sheer determination and will power she became the best cook in her family and in her entire neighborhood. As time passed she was blessed with two children. Her husband passed his examination for officer post. Here too she had hand in her husband's passing of examination .
After some years Sita's husband got a chance to go to Cambodia on a deputation. She also went after one year and lived happy for some time in the new surrounding, but soon fate had some other idea for her, her both children (boys) got meningitis and within 24 hours she lost her eldest and her first child. In an unknown foreign land where language was different, her parents and relatives were very far, and no one to give her consolation, she and her second child who survived lived in a house alone and then she took charge of the situation .After she came to know that she is conceived again, went to her husband and told him that she want to go back to India to her father's place. This attitude showed her rare determination and tolerance power.
She came back to India with her son and lived with her father and her large family. Soon she gave birth to a male child, and the story goes on.
After 40 years of her return from Cambodia, Sita a proud mother of two sons, two daughter in-laws and grandmother of four. Sita had to under go so many twist and turns in all these 40 years if described can be written a big book.
So like mythological Sita in Ramayana had to live a turbulence life through out even though she was the queen of Auyodaya , Sita in my story lived no differently, she had to face many challenges and difficulties in her life which, she over came only shows her determination to fight all odds and her rare tolerance power .
