My absolute favorite is How I Met Your Mother. This show combines the hilarious personality of Neil Patrick Harris, who really helps bring this show to life. He is a hardcore womanizer with several rules to his game. Alyson Hannigan you would know from American Pie movies is hilariously sly and cute. Josh Radnor, the star of the show is hopelessly trying to find a wife, or at least, a girlfriend. In his many failed attempts, his groups of friends are always there to make fun of him and occasionally be there to support him. The comedic timing, the well meshed cast, and original scripts will have you tivoing this sitcom after the first episode.
My next favorite is New Adventures of Old Christine. This show stars Julia Louis-Drefus from Seinfeld. To kind of summarize the plot, Christine (Julia), is divorced and her husband is remarried to a younger woman also named Christine, who they call New Christine. Hence, the show's name. The name thing is funny but what I find most funny is, how Christine is just a bit on the dumb/arrogant side and doesn't really know anything about anything. She also has her son going to a rich private school where she is constantly made fun of by the other moms. Another part that makes the show a hit is, Christine married Barb, who is played by Wanda Sykes, to keep her from being deported. Wanda really brings a completely new element to the show, she's witty, and has a "I couldn't care less what you think" attitude. For all of these reasons I'm sure you will check out this show it comes on CBS on Wed nights.
Now my third favorite is a show most people pass up because of the name, The Big Bang Theory. This show has me cracking up literally every two minutes. The show is about four guy friends who are hopelessly geeky and loveable. The main character Leonard is trying to get the girl next door, Penny, who happens to also be the unattainable "hot blonde". You get to see how, in his own nerdy ways tries to get her. On to my favorite character Sheldon, he is the smartest person in the world, well, pretty much; he has several masters degrees and works at a university with the other 3 guys. Sheldon has no problem telling anyone he's smarter than them, and in a quirky/annoying kind of way he tells them, in detail how everything is done, made, or just is. He also has to have everything a certain way, very obsessive compulsive. The other two guys, Raj and Howard are always trying to get the ladies. The only problem here is Raj can't talk to women unless he's drunk, and Howard uses every tired pick-up line there is to try to get girls and it never works. This show will make you laugh right out loud. This is also a CBS show and it airs Monday nights.
And last, but not least is the show I watch with anyone, my mom, best friend, boyfriend, everyone loves this show. The main character PJ is a writer in Chicago and has 5 guy friends, who are always in her dating life, and each character has comedic drama in their lives, they all play poker together and have a great time making fun of each other. PJ's brother, played by Jim Gaffigan, is constantly made fun of because his wife, believe it or not, actually wants him around to help, and the single guys have a great time reminding him of that. This show is truly entertaining, mainly because you can relate so much to PJ. I hope you check it out and see for yourself.
So these are my favorite sitcoms right now and I hope that you will check these out for yourself and share the wealth with others. Happy Watching.
