Site Review: CourtRegistry.org Is a Scam

Antoinette McGowan
These sites are everywhere and offer you tons of information right there at your fingertips. According to these background check sites you can pay a small fee and get instant access to all the information you want. Well I did just that. I read there frequently asked questions and looked over the site very well. Then I paid the $39.95 for a 3 month membership. After paying I was sent to the members area to begin my searches.

It was only after paying that I was informed that almost all searches would use what is called search points. My membership gave me six search points and I had the option to buy more. Most searches took anywhere from 4-5 search points per search. Only a few search types were available for one search point. Ok I can purchase more search points but this was never mentioned anywhere prior to reaching the members area once I had already paid. Oh and to purchase five search points would cost an additional $14 and something dollars.

According to the site I was on CourtRegistry.org I would have unlimited access to these types of searches upon payment. Well I have unlimited access to phone records and reverse address lookups. All of which I can do for free at Whitepages.com. I did look further through the site and checked out the free resource area of the site. This at first looked like it might make the payment I made worth it. Like I said "at first", because once I fully clicked into this area, I was redirected to another site that wanted me to pay to retrieve this information.

CourtRegistry.org has proven to be nothing but a scam that no one should waste their hard earned money on. You have to pay once to access the members area then turn around and pay more to have search points to perform the searches that they originally offered you with your membership.

Under the frequently asked questions area is where they offer you more than you will really have provided to you with your membership.

Q: How do I register?

A: Please visit the registration page to signup for unrestricted access.

Q: What categories and reports are available to search?

A: ONLINE INVESTIGATIONS:

BACKGROUND RECORDS - CRIMINAL RECORDS - DRIVING RECORDS -

LEGAL RECORDS - SSN RECORDS - SEX OFFENDERS - CREDIT RECORDS -

CIVIL RECORDS:

BIRTH RECORDS - DEATH RECORDS - .

DIVORCE RECORDS -

MARRIAGE RECORDS - PROPERTY RECORDS - BANKRUPTCY RECORDS -

PEOPLE SEARCH:

PEOPLE SEARCH - MISSING PERSONS -

REVERSE LOOKUP:

REVERSE PHONE - REVERSE CELL PHONE - REVERSE EMAIL - REVERSE LICENSE PLATE -

OTHER RECORDS:

MEMBER RESOURCES:

EBOOKS - Our proprietary information books on a huge variety of topics and categoriesBUSINESS RECORDS - NON-US RECORDS

None of these searches except for the reverse address, phone record and a crap background report were available with the membership payment. The background record only consisted of the name , sometimes an address and marital statues. Nothing else was included in the background check.

While looking around in the areas that required search points I was looking for an area to find arrest records which were also listed on the home pages as being able to have access to. I could not find this area so I decided to contact customer service. Well they responded within 10 minutes with a very legal email telling me that they do not guarantee any search results and so on and so forth. At no time in the email did they ever tell me where on the site I can even try to search for these records.

They were negligent in the fact that no where on the site until your reach the members area are you informed that you can not search the promised search areas without using search points. Search points are never mentioned. Customer service is not there to help you navigate the site, they only send out legal disclaimers for answers. Save your money because all the information you are allowed to search for with your membership you can get for free from whitepages.com. I can only imagine the number of people who like myself have fallen for their scam.

I should have checked your review or other reviews first before signing up Clickbank. It is a scam, it promised alot and cannot get what I searched for. I paid $24.95. Fortunately, I made only one search and did not get sucked into making more searches. After the first search, I felt suspicious, because I would have to pay another $10 for each additional search.

You got that right..........public records should be public and not have to be paid for.

Great info. I know of a few more sites that promise you the moon but are only interested in taking your money.

Great article and warning! It's too bad that people get ripped off by companies like this one all the time.

It is not even legal for someone to give out some of this info they are promising. What a ripoff. Thanks for warning people.
