Sites that Offer Kwanzaa E-cards

R. Hill
Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday celebrated by some in the United States. It was brought about in the mid-1960s by Dr. Maulana Karenga to uplift the black population and inspire unity and pride in one's self and the family. This was the first specific African-American holiday. A few sites offer free Kwanzaa e-cards, and all you need on most of the sites is your name, e-mail address, and the e-mail address of the person you are sending it too. For more information check out these sites below.

The 123Greetings.com selection of Kwanzaa e-cards was relatively easy to send. It took about 2 minutes to pick a card and enter my information, which just consisted of my name and e-mail address. Then I proceeded to put in the friends information, which was name and email address. I checked a few boxes which asked if I wanted them to remember my information so the next time I visited I could just add the email address. I pushed send and it sent a confirmation to my phone which is a G1 and told me as soon as the person opens it they will let me know. It was real simple and not time consuming, some sites want to much information for a simple task like sending someone an e-card. 123Greetings.com was very easy and simple.

BlueMountain.com Kwanzaa cards website site turned me off when I first came to the page, in the right hand corner of the page was a message that read free 7 day trial. Wow am I sending out e-cards everyday I don't think so. In order to send the nice e-card of Little Bill, which is my favorite little African American kid cartoon they want me to sign up. Sorry little Bill but not even you can get me to spend twenty minutes of my time to receive a bunch of junk mail from this e-card information ripe off. Although I like the various holidays the site had on the left side of the page, I just could not convince myself to give out too much information to some site I have no prior knowledge of. It's like giving out your main phone number at a night club, never.

Greetings.com e-cards with the Kwanzaa theme were very simple, a few clicks and the card was on its way to the persons email address. Although the site was very simple, I only encountered two main Kwanzaa cards to choose from. One thing I loved about the site was the security code it had at the end to keep spammers from attacking the persons email box sending out multiple emails. The advertisements on the page were not an eye sore, and the site did't ask for any information but my email address and who I wanted to send it too. I could have sent a message to my face book account or my twitter site. That in itself is a very smart and time friendly tool to have on your site. Not only can you send out personal ones to loved ones, but too all those out there in your cyber world.

BigDates.com site was refreshing and gave me many options to choose from. This site was set up to allow the visitor to send out cards ahead of time, also the site would allow you to send the cards on specific dates. There is no way you could miss sending out Kwanzaa cards to all your friends and family and go to the events with out having to send out one card at a time to each person. The site allowed you to personalize your e-card and send on various holidays. You could send out the card from one to twenty five people in one sitting, that's a lot more than the other sites. Although the cards were kind of cheesy the process was refreshing. No more missing important dates of events in your life, like say a wedding anniversary, or first kiss date. Wow I think I am missing a date as I type.

Americangreetings.com had a very colorful presentation of Kwanzaa cards. They even had my favorite Little Bill, he was shown in a black and white type picture. The American greeting site was similar to the Blue mountain site in that it required you to give up too much information to send off the card to family and friends. The site did not come up as a top 5 when searching for e-cards, but the presentation was more crisp than the other sites. American greetings is a very popular card in the most stores through out your city. Over all the site was nice on the eyes and simple enough to navigate without getting lost. But, trying to give up too much information does not sit well with me, even if its just an e-card.
