-Father's Day Brew & Q Lawn Party. This event will be held at the Van Landingham Estate on June 19 from noon to 4pm. There will be live music, a cash bar, and great food. You may bring the kids, lawn chairs, blankets, Frisbees, and dogs. Dinner is $15 a plate, which includes a beer. It is $10 a plate without a beer.
-Summer Pops Concert Series at Symphony Park. June 19th will host music called "Musical Travels". This popular event is a great way to spend Father's Day. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs. Pack a picnic lunch and settle down for an evening of beautiful music in an outdoor setting. My family and I have always enjoyed this series, and it would make any father happy on his special day.
-Syrucuse vs. Charlotte Knights Baseball. What better way to spend Father's Day than to spend it watching a baseball game in Knight's Stadium with your family? In honor of Father's Day, father and sons will be allowed to play catch on the field before the game starts. How's that for a great Father's Day memory? The game starts at 2pm.
-Carowinds. If the father in your house loves excitement, what better way to spend the day than braving one of the park's 13 roller coasters? Kids will also love spending the day with their father laughing and just having a good time on the rides. Capture some of those great, fun filled memories by having pictures made of the kids and their dad on Father's Day./
-U.S. National Whitewater Center. If adventure is what your father loves, then pack up the family and head to the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Whether you and your family decide to brave the rapids, hike, climb the wall, or go on the zip line, you are sure to have a wonderful together.
-Nascar Hall of Fame. If the father in your house is a racing enthusiast, then he will surely appreciate a visit to Nascar Hall of Fame. Not only will he enjoy the various exhibits, he will receive a 2011 Commemorative Nascar Hall of Fame Yearbook with the regular price of a ticket.
No matter how you choose to spend Father's Day with your loved one, you will find many different choices in Charlotte. Any of them would make that special man in your life very happy for Father's Day.
