I live for that thrill, that adrenaline rush.
That butterfly feeling in your gut,
as you reach the top of the 100+ foot high steel track.
If you like rollercoasters as much as I do, you really have to check out the Six Flags in Gurnee, Illinois. It has something there for the whole family. If you are daring enough, you can challenge some of their titanous steel rollercoasters. If you're looking for a place to play cool video games and test your skills, there's an arcade that's right up your alley. If you're feeling lucky you can try and win one of their grand prizes in the game rooms, such as game consoles worth over $100. If you just want to kick back and relax, grab your beach towel and head to the newly built waterpark, a part of Six Flags.
Rollercoasters:
The Batman - A hanging ski-lift style rollercoaster that will fly you through Gotham at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Experience hairpin turns, loops, corkscrews, and a "zero-gravity" spin.
INTENSE
Superman: Ultimate Flight - Fly head first just like Superman in one of Six Flags's most prized rollercoasters. Lasting more than three minutes, this ride is full of 100ft+ drops, speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, and a flight like none other.
INTENSE
The Raging Bull - Are you tough enough to face the Raging Bull? You may think so, but a 200 foot 65 degree first drop might make you think otherwise. This is Six Flags's tallest, longest, fast hypercoaster. It was the world's first hypertwister coaster ever to be invented, and it is amazing. Travel at up to 73 miles per hour up to 20 stories high as you face the Raging Bull.
INTENSE
The Viper - A great ride for those who love rollercoasters but aren't quite ready for the bad boys. An 80 foot first drop will get you going as this wooden rollercoaster takes you through twists, turns, and coils just like that of a real viper. Go up to 50 miles per hour on this 3,500 foot track!
TOUGH
The Demon - Are you ready to face your worst fear? The Demon will help you as you travel at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour on this 10 story tall track. It includes loops as well, so buckle up, buckle down and face your demon!
TOUGH
The Eagle - Eagle Red or Eagle Blue? After getting an eagle's eye view of the park, you'll plunge down a 147 foot drop on one of two tracks. Going at speeds of up to 66 miles per hour, which Eagle will make it down this 4,650 foot track first?
TOUGH
There are also many easy rides for children, so you don't have to leave them behind!
Hurricane Harbor - Grab your beach towel and soak up the sun, or you can ride one of the several waterslides located in Hurricane Harbor. If you just want to jump around, and feel the surf against you, hop into the wave pool, which generates waves that go higher than you do! Don't worry parents, the large waves do not stretch throughout the whole wave pool, just a section of it. On your way in, make sure you pick up a swimming suit or beach towel. You can also be sure to stop by one of the food and drink stands and get a refreshing beverage or yummy treat for lunch time.
Six Flags is a great and affordable place perfect for everyone! Be sure to order tickets online at www.sixflags.com!
