Six Graders Plans to Slit Another Students' Throat Are Foiled
Where Did They Get Such a Violent Idea?
The students that had planned that attack deciced to slit the boys throat during recess sometime, due to the fact that the innocent boy was dating one of the attackers ex-girlfriend. Jealousy must have enraged the would-be attacker to such a point that raged consumed him, as well as his friends. Violence is in no situation the answer, unless it is in definite self defense of course.
Ethan Travis, only age 13, was going to be the victim in this situation if the plans went through successfully. According to wcbstv.com, Ethan Travis had heard the rumors being whispered around in the hallways of his elementary school. Yes, the children in this story are only in elementary school. How their minds had been spoiled and exposed to such indecent violence should be a factor that police and other authorities thoroughly look into to ensure this never happens again, to any child.
At first Ethan Travis didn't believe these mere rumors, as murder is such a saturated threat these days, even to a 13-year-old whom is exposed to is via all media outlets. However, after the five six graders, peers of Ethan Travis, were suspended from school, now he believes the rumors were in no way fictional in the least.
The five would-be attackers have been suspended from school, and are also being charged with possession of weapons. But is that nearly enough? Ethan Travis himself is scared of the return of these children. They were planning to kill him after all. Ethan's parents, according to wcbstv.com, are not happy with the actions taken, and are seeking for deeper punishment against the plotters. The five six graders as of right now may be banned from the school, and relocated to other schools. Also, wcbstv.com tells us that the attackers were two boys and three girls, although their identity is being kept a secret.
Ethan Travis is personally scared of the return of the other students who threatened to fatally harm him, who wouldn't be? Having the thought of someone running up to you, tackling you to the ground, and taking a razor to your throat isn't the most comforting thought in the world, especially to a 13-year-old who is merely trying to enjoy the school experience.
The elementary school that this took place in was located in Ulster County.

Post a CommentPeople defending these kids are absolutely sick. Stuff happens? They are just kids? Was that 11 year old just a kid when he shot his pregnant step mom? These kids had razorblades in their backpack. This should be taken very seriously and I agree with the mother. I am not a parent and even I find the lack of help from the police sickening. These kids sound like killers in the making. I guess the cops do something about it after the kids is fighting for his life in the hospital from a slit throat. Real helpful.
Hard to believe that some of you commenting on this story just think it is kids being kids. Never in my life have I ever thought of killing someone because I didn%2527t like something they had done. People need to spend more time parenting and teaching morals and less time making excuses for childrens behavior. Thou shalt not kill.

They are just children and I can't believe that you guys are holding this against them. If you people really knew who they were then you would know that they didn't do anything. Ethan and his mother just wanted to attention. I mean I know that they kids that were involved in this was friends with Ethan at one point. And I know that they would never do anything like this excpecually since he didn't do anything to them that I know of. So i think that you people should actually look at the whole story and don't believe everything that you read.
At least they got caught and punished. My ex brought a gun to MT Marion to threaten me. He did it in the parking lot in full view of the principle, and no one did anything!! It's sick that things are so hush-hush in this shady little town.

To discuss and inform people about what has occurred is not considered getting out of hand. They.. the ANIMALS are not just kids, typical kids do not hatch and plan such evil behavior. I do remember what we did, meaning we as a generation, when we remember crazy things that we or I did in childhood, there was never any behavior that would even resemble that of the five animals behavior.Planning a murder is not typical childhood behavior.At their age or any age they need to be held accountable for their bad choices.They have in fact not suffered enough and "some" of their parents do not want to parent, instead they live precariously through their children.There are no limits set and eventually the children have children and repeat bad parenting choices.The cycle could be broken if the parents told their children "NO" and cared enough to carr

Heather and Bonnie, I'm with you. I homeschool my two kids and I am very thankful that I am able to do that. It is scary thinking about all of the violence in schools. Great reporting Andrew!
I've known plenty of friends that got shot, stabbed, robbed, attacked, a few even raped in my HS and JHS growing up in the Bronx 95% did not make the news. Point being if it happens in the inner city no one gives a rats ass.
