Six Great 2008 Holidays Gifts for Tech Gadgets Lovers

Sean Hein
The festive holidays may seem distant now but they will be bearing down upon you before you know what hit you. Beside wouldn't you like to plan a little ahead in advance so that you can set aside some cash for the gifts? Do you always find yourself without a clue about what your loved ones would like to find in their stocking?

Stop worrying. I have compiled my own gift list, but since I can't find anybody to give it to at my house, I'm going to share it with you. I'm sure any of the below six gadgets would be a welcome gift for the holiday.

Handsfree Bluetooth Headset- For those on-the-go conversations that just can't wait until you get out of the car. The Motorola H800 is small and cute and will run you about $25-$50.

The Coveted IPhone- plays music, takes pictures, shows videos, maps out your trip, accesses your email and the internet, whips, chops and purees. Well, maybe not the last three but hey, I forgot: it makes phone calls, too. Pricey or not? Depending on your carrier and where you buy it, the cost will be somewhere between $200-$300.

Wii Fit- A virtual exercise class that allows a vigorous workout without leaving the house. Or the living room. Or within three feet of the television. It's all the rage and people are still lining up outside of stores waiting to buy one for their very own. What better way to get in shape than to play a video game? Price: $70-$100.

The Magellan Crossover GPS System- Never ask for directions again! It can be mounted in your car, bike or motorcycle, has an MP3 player and picture viewer. Automatically recalculates your route when you miss your turn because you're busy talking on your Iphone. For me, this is the best thing ever invented. Price: approximately $325.

Creative Zen Mosaic MP3 Player- because, let's just admit it: we're sick of hearing about the Ipod. The Mosaic is attractive, uber tiny, and only stores and plays your music. It's not artificial intelligence and we like it that way. The price is right, too- for 8 GB of storage it's only $200.

Saving the best for last: The El Paso Chile Company DOUBLE Margarita Maker- A frozen drink maker that gets you loose in half the time. All it needs from you is crushed ice, drink mix and don't be stingy with the booze! You'll be wasting away effortlessly in no time at all. A cool $150.
