Six More Awesome Craft Websites

Carol Loh
Always on the lookout for interesting craft websites to feed my enormous appetite, I am back with another 6 great finds. They are bursting with ideas, whether stylish or quirky, and are amazing sources of inspiration whenever I am stumped.

Modish
Modish is an incredible craft website, chockful of whimsical ideas and beautiful handmade things. It is updated almost daily with links to an amazing array of handmade stuff. Want some tips and ideas on sewing monsters and other softies? Check out Plush Stuff. Need to make some accessories as gifts? Take a peek at Accessories. Crazy about bags (which woman is not??)? There are lots of wonderful bag-centric ideas and tips at Bags. One caution though - Take your time. Pace yourself. This website is much bigger than you think! You can get overwhelmed.

U-Handbag
If you have always been wanting to make your own bags but never quite got down to it, this website can perhaps give you a little nudge. There are many tutorials detailing how you can make various types of bags and totes. You can purchase bag patterns online but if you are just starting off, you may want to first try out the free patterns that Lisa, the owner of the u-handbag website, often gives away. I would rate this website a must-visit for all bag-lovers and crafters.

The Long Thread
This website deals with all things handmade. There are lots of wonderfully detailed tutorials, free patterns, links and more links. Kimono wrap, oilcloth lunch bag, felt barrettes, bags, totes and even portable fabric dollhouses - you name it, chances are you will find it here. There is even a section specially dedicated to crafts for kids, so share this with the little people in your life. If there really is something you can't find here, just check out the long list of crafty links provided - more than enough for even the most ardent crafter!

Dollar Store Crafts
Looking for craft ideas that will not break the bank? You've reached the right place. This website has projects that use materials you can easily find around the house or things that you intend to throw out anyway.

Whipup
Yet another website chockful of fabulous crafty ideas. Expect to find fabulously unusual projects and some of the most fascinating handmade things that are nothing short of amazing. So check out whipup daily and get inspired.

Revoluzza
This European website has some entries are in German, but then again, who says language is a barrier when it comes to beautiful things? Besides the tutorials and patterns, there are also links to many crafty blogs.

Enjoy!
