Six Reasons Santa Claus is Not so Nice

Justin Lawrence
Santa Claus is often heralded as a great and jolly man, but few attempt to discuss his bad side. That is right, the big man may not have such a big heart. Herein, Santa Claus' negative side will be discussed and the ways in which he is not so nice revealed.

First Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: Different Value Gifts For Different People

I know that it goes against the spirit of Christmas to discuss the monetary value of gifts, but Santa Claus is seriously way off on issues like this. Why is the jolly man always giving expensive gifts to those that are already wealthy? Despite all the gift giving, Santa must be a particularly cold-hearted republican.

Second Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: His Narcissistic Behaviour

Santa is clearly a very narcissistic man, not sharing the workload at all and demanding all the glory for the Christmas work, despite being in a high-risk group for heart attacks due to his age and weight. We all should have known from the red "here I am" clothing and the constant demands that we pay to be seen in a photo with him that he is a bit self-important.

Third Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: Misuse Of Resources

So Santa has the ability to travel around the entire world in one night as well as to construct and transport a huge amount of gifts, yet all he does is give luxury items? He could deliver seeds, food, technology, water purifiers, etc to developing countries but instead goes around giving toys.

Fourth Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: Giving Children Coal

It is the parent's job to punish their children for bad behaviour and not yours Santa Claus, despite what that narcissistic mind of yours might say. Also, punishment is one thing but giving a child a piece of coal in place of a present on Christmas day is just cold.

Fifth Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: Animal Cruelty

Those Reindeer sure get a working, having to fly across the entire globe in one night without rest. A reasonable person will only travel a horse about 20 miles a day before needing a rest and this is without being expected to fly effectively through turbulence. Santa Claus is a hard man on his reindeer, yet another one of Santa's negative attributes.

Sixth Reason Santa Claus Is Not So Nice: He Assumes Food Lying Around Is For Him

Yet another example of Santa's narcissism in action is how he will eat any meal that is at a table. It is possible, Santa, that someone was still intending to eat that before you came in and took it all for yourself.
