The second way to make your home safe and poison free is to keep your children as safe as possible. If you have a crawler, then you will want to always make clean sweeps across the floor. Especially if you have a toddler running around dropping stuff constantly. A dirty floor is a baby's playground. You must get down to their level and see what they see. You will be truly surprised at what you can see that you couldn't see while standing.
The third way is to take advantage of some of the new and great products companies are coming out with that are poison free. Like poison-free bug spray. I know that's a huge one. I always worry about what I'm using to kill bugs with and the outcome of my children getting a hold of them. It's that time of year again when everyone opens their windows and their windows to let spring in. And with that comes the hassle of fly's and bees. They have made new and improve sticking sheets and flytraps that kill your bugs, but are safe incase your kids get a hold of them.
The fourth way to keep your home safe is to put your cleaners and your dish soap up into a place way out of any of your kid's reach. I keep mine up in the cabinets above the refrigerator. Most homes have these two small cabinets, they are very high, and if you keep your cereal on top of your refrigerator than that's perfect because, and then most kids don't even see the cabinets.
The fifth way to keep your home safe is to have regular checks of mold and carbon monoxide ran. You are better off knowing that your children are safe sleeping at night. There are some companies out there who will even provide you will a first time check. If money is an issue. This will help to make sure your whole family sleeps better and stays healthier. Because both mold and carbon monoxide kill.
The last but not least way of making sure your home is safe and poison free is to have a exterminator come out monthly to get rid of pests. This will help you to know that nothing is crawling over your counter at night while you are sleeping. Also, and most importantly hire someone to take care of your lawn if you are not able to. This will provide a nice place for your kids to play without worrying what kind of bugs might bite them. If you are in the country, then you won't have to worry so much about snakes. Snakes don't like short cut, groomed lawns.
