Get Fit
Exercise can not only help reduce your risk of cancer, but it can also help reduce the risk of many other diseases, like diabetes and high blood pressure. It does not matter how you choose to workout, anything works. Walk, run, bike, hike or stay at home and use the Wii Fit. You can even just take the steps at work each day for a great workout! Just twenty minutes of exercise five days a week can make a world of difference and add years to your life.
Take Fish Oil
Whether you get it from eating fresh fish or you take supplements, fish oil is believed to help reduce the risk of cancer. It can also be very good for the heart!
Drink Green Tea
The polyphenols contained in green tea are powerful antioxidants that help flush out free radicals in the body. Green tea also counts as water consumption for the day. Free radicals are the nasty toxins in the body that are believed to contribute to cancer, so flushing them out reduces a persons risk.
Eat Fruits & Vegetables
Steamed or raw vegetables hold more nutrients. Get plenty of fresh fruits too. The best cancer fighting fruits are citrus fruits (like oranges and grapefruit), berries (like blueberries and strawberries), pomegranates and cherries. The best cancer fighting vegetables are cruciferous veggies (like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower), leafy greens (like kale and spinach), carrots and tomatoes. Mushrooms, like maitake, are also said to be wonderful at reducing tumor size.
Limit Alcohol
There are health studies that have shown that alcohol consumption can increase the risk of breast cancer, this includes even the smallest amount of regular alcohol consumption.
Consume Less Fat
Avoid bad fats like trans fats, which can greatly increase the risk of breast cancer and the size of your waste. Instead, opt for Omega-3 Fatty Acids that are found in fish, like mackerel, tuna, salmon and sardines. Other good fats, like monounsaturated fats, can be found in olive oil, nuts and seeds.
