Want to increase your overall health? Don't join a gym. Just make a few small changes in your lifestyle. None of them will ruin your schedule or lower the quality of your life.

Eat breakfast.
People who struggle with their weight often share in a particular habit. What is it? They skip breakfast. Stay slim and trim by dong just the opposite. Eat the biggest meal of your day in the morning and your smallest one in the evening. This way, you can burn off all of the calories by the time you go to bed.

Drink lots of water.
There is a reason why nutritionists stress the importance of drinking water. Not only does this liquid help keep your body slim, it also cleanses your system. Increase your overall health by drinking eight glasses a day. Your skin will look better and you are less likely to catch an ailment.

Switch your DVD's to Comedy.

According to the medical profession, laughter is really good for the soul and body. For this reason, do away with those scary DVD's and replace them with comedies. By laughing your way through the evening, you will not only relieve stress, but also build up your immune system. You will also see that life isn't that serious.

Volunteer at a local shelter.

Whether you put your energy towards animals or humans, the process of volunteering will increase your overall health. By giving of your time freely to help someone else, you benefit spiritually. This will translate into better health, joy and more energy.

Fill your plate with colorful food.

Pretend to be an artist and use your plate as a palate. At every meal, fill it with colorful foods like vegetables and fruit. Supplement them with small portions of meat and bread. If you plan your meals in this way, you will always be eating a healthy diet.

Move for twenty minutes a day.
You don't have to run a marathon or do a sport to keep your body mobile. All you have to do to increase your overall health is to move for twenty minutes a day. Most people achieve optimum health just by walking. You can do it too.

Feeling motivated? Use these six tips to boost your health. It doesn't matter how old or young you are now. You can improve your body, and spirit by making a few small changes in your lifestyle.
