Even though the Cubs' season opener is months away, baseball fans can still bask in the glow of Wrigley Field by going ice-skating. Skating at Wrigley Field is here for a limited time until February 28, 2011, just in time for Cubs Spring Training.

The Ricketts family, the City of Chicago and local Wrigleyville businesses are sponsoring the full-sized ice-rink temporally placed in the Cub's parking lot located on Clark and Waveland. Now in its second year, skaters can enjoy the winter weather and dream about summer Cubs baseball.

The rink is open Sunday through Thursday until 9 p.m. and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Food and drink is not available at the rink, but Wrigleyville residents can enjoy a meal or a hot drink at any of the bars or restaurants surrounding the field.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Skate rental is also available. Free parking is available at the Clark Street and Waveland Avenue Cubs parking lot.
