'Skating with the Stars' Week 3: It's Home Sweet Home for Vince Neil

"SWTS" Week 3 Recap

Victoria Leigh Miller
Monday night on ABC's "Skating With the Stars" it was Story Week- and time for the 5 remaining couples to tell a love story through their skating programs.

There was also a lot of fighting and falling during rehearsals this week, as well as a couple of trips to the E.R. and one very sick puppy.

Both Rebecca Budig and Brooke Castille ended up in the emergency room for injuries, while Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith was ill and never even made it to Monday night's show.

Judges Dick Button, Johnny Weir and choreographer Laurieann Gibson doled out this week's scores, which included a score for a dangerous technical requirement: a jump which required a one-footed land on the ice.

So how did the "stars" do this week on "SWTS"? And who went home on week 3?

First up, we got to see commentator Tanith on ice! Tanith Belbin and her Olympic partner, Ben Agosto, skated to the new Carrie Underwood song, "There's a Place for Us." And you thought Tanith could only commentate!

As for this week's routines, "Real Housewife" Bethenny Frankle was criticized by Dick Button for "not trusting herself", while a stitched up Brooke Castille and her partner Jonny Moseley pulled off a routine that Johnny Weir called "insane beautiful".

Brandon Mychal Smith fell ill earlier in the day so the judges scored a tape of his last rehearsal. But Jonny Weir dissed Smith's absence, saying that he's been told not to perform before (and still showed up). Host Vernon Kay reminded Weir, "Puke does not look good on the ice!" Agreed.

In the end Motley Crue front man Vince Neil was sent home this week. But don't feel bad for the rock star. He may have been disappointed, but he beamed, "The judges were nice to me!"
