'Skating with the Stars' Week 4 Spoilers: A Star Steps Down

"SWTS" Week 4 Recap- Who Went Home This Week?

Victoria Leigh Miller
Monday night on ABC's "Skating With the Stars" it was time for the 4 remaining couples to give us a few thrills- and maybe a few spills- on "SWTS" Thrill Week.

So who went home on week 4 of "SWTS"? Hint: No one was voted off, but one star stepped down from the completion.

But first, the ice skating pros put on a holiday-themed ice program to the tune of "Baby It's Cold Outside."

Then it was time for host Vernon Kay to check in on the status of Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith, who fell ill last week.

Smith's fans were likely disappointed when they saw his partner, Keana McLaughlin, skate out by herself. Indeed, Smith joined her on stage later to give the dire news: he was still ill and would be stepping down from the competition. It was a crushing blow to a promising competitor. Smith had been suffering from a stomach bug since last Monday, but after a doctor's check up today decided not to continue on with the show.

With Smith out, Vernon Kay announced that no one would be eliminated from the show this week. Instead, this week's scores and votes will be combined with next week's scores to determine the "SWTS" winner.

Judges Dick Button, Johnny Weir and Laurieann Gibson offered advice to the remaining 4 couples this week as they had to choose 2 out of 3 required elements: the Death Spiral, The Throw and the Overhead Lift.

"Skating With the Stars" Week 4 Leaderboard

Bethenny Frankel and Ethan Burgess

It's pretty clear that Judge Johnny Weir does not care for 'Real Housewives" star Bethenny Frankel. While Laurieann Gibson dubbed the reality star as "fearless", Weir has pretty much thrown in the towel on her, due to the fact that she has repeatedly dissed the judge's advice and boasted that she doesn't care what the judges think. Weir's retort to Frankel: "I don't really care to watch you perform anymore."
TECHNICAL MERIT: 18/30
ARTISTIC IMPRESSION: 20/30
TOTAL: 38/60

Jonny Moseley and Brooke Castille

The Olympic gold medalist sizzled, prompting Gibson to gush, "Skating just got hotter...melt me." Johnny Weir loved the program, but suggested Moseley take a quickie ballet class.
TECHNICAL MERIT: 27/30
ARTISTIC IMPRESSION:27/30
TOTAL: 54/60

Rebecca Budig and Fred Palascak

Dick Button, the self described "Betty White of the Ice World" praised Budig's....bottom. Yep, he called it "the nicest bottom in the competition." He also liked her "spiffy" lifts.
TECHNICAL MERIT: 26/30
ARTISTIC IMPRESSION: 27/30
TOTAL: 53/60

You can catch the finale week of "Skating with the Stars" starting on Monday, December 20th at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

Johnny Weir is just overboard in his "dissing" what a DIVA! All the judges know Bethany should have gotten better technical scores! But Weir takes the cake, and is too full of himself, its not about him... Poor choice when it comes to a judge, what were they thinking?

Johnny Weir should never have been allowed to judge, he clearly hates Bethenny for no good reason. Who can blame her for ignoring the judges when they're being so unfair to her?

Yes she is the weakest skater left but, just like when Brandy went home on DWTS over Bristol Palin, sometimes it's not about who is the best as much as it is about who is the voters' favorite.

The judges on DWTS were very fair with Bristol this season as they have always been with those who are not the best dancers and because of their constructive criticism she really did get better. I think if the judges on this show had done that then Bethenny wouldn't have decided that she didn't care what they thought. Look at their comments from the first two weeks, only Dick was not completely critical of her.

It's really pathetic the way Johnny Weir has been able to continue to behave towards Bethenny and because of this I wouldn't doubt if Bravo stops allowing their Housewives to
