Pros:
The Stalmach Colorado is an impressive lightweight ski bike. It is a lower mid-line product between the Stalmach Cayenne and the Stalmach Grizzly. It is very lightweight yet has almost all the handling characteristics of the Stalmach Cayenne and Stalmach World Cup. The Colorado would be a great choice for those who find the Cayenne too heavy to lift.
Learning to ride the Colorado is extremely easy especially, if you know how to ride a bicycle. It is easy to turn, and provides a very stable ride. It's a great all-around ski bike for riding in powder and on groomed ski trails. This bike loves to carve but does not quite have the same nimble carving as the Cayenne or the World Cup. The Colorado will leave you grinning from ear to ear!
The Stalmach Colorado has a very robust suspension system. It incorporates an 'upside down' front suspension and a rear shock absorber with adjustable dampening control. This bike does not bounce a lot on moderately uneven terrain. It provides a much more comfortable ride than the suspension system of the Brenter C4 ski bike. Given a choice between buying a C4 and a Colorado, consider buying the Colorado.
Since the Colorado is so light, it's a breeze to get on and off the chair lift. It is possible to quickly lift it and store over your knees or store on the side of the chair, chairlift design permitting.
The Stalmach Colorado features include an adjustable ergonomic seat. No getting a sore bum with this bike! The connectors used on the bike are made of stainless steel and the bike frame is built using high quality construction. The bike can be assembled without tools and stores in a compact waterproof storage bag.
Cons:
This ski bike has a very well thought out suspension system and ski design. There have been reports that the front fork suspension system has failed on some bikes. Stalmach is now reinforcing this area with stainless steel connectors.
Suggested improvements:
This ski bike is very well designed with quality in mind. There isn't really anything to complain about. Maybe incorporate a holder for a frosty beverage. Different color choices for the M/L size might be good too. Yellow is an overused color on traditional ski bikes. Painting flames on it might break up the color scheme.
