Skiing For All Skill Levels
Every skier and snowboarder knows that staying within your skill level is important. With 39% expert, 33% moderate, and 28% easy, Killington offers trails for all skill levels. If you are a little more adventurous, try one of their six terrain parks throughout the resort. Also, is you are a new skier or if you have small children with you, Killington has an entire mountain (Ramshead) dedicated to those that are still learning or touching up their skills. Professional private lesson are available at the ski and snowboard school. Some people can use all the help they can get so make sure to sign up at the bottom of the mountain.
6 Terrain Parks
Whether you are into rails, kickers, or pipes, Killington has six terrain parks to satisfy your needs. Not afraid of heights and want to go huge? Head over to the four hundred and thirty foot Superpipe featuring eighteen foot walls. Need to learn basic terrain park skills? Small kickers and more are ready for you at Timberline Park. Just remember to stay within your skill boundaries, don't invert yourself, and respect gets respect. If you are new to terrain parks, start with small kickers and move up progressively when you are ready. It is no fun when you end up being strapped to a rescue board by ski patrol. Inverted aerials are prohibited at Killington Mountain Resort so be sure not to try any back flips. Also, when you reach a terrain park, don't blast through it without stopping at the beginning. Stop at the start of the terrain park and let anyone that has been waiting go first.
Have Fun After The Slopes
With top notch restaurants and pubs, there will never be a dull nightlife at Killington. Most restaurants provide free transportation for anyone that doesn't have a rental car. Looking for more day activities other than skiing? Sled dogs, snowshoeing, snowmobile tours, and sleigh rides are all offered at the resort. Need to relax? Sign up for a shiatsu massage at one of many spa treatment centers.
