Lodging in Banff
The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort. This resort combines extremely beautiful surroundings with on site massage therapy, air-conditioned banquet facilities, and an indoor pool. Shuttle service is available to nearby Banff. Skiing is readily accessible at the nearby slopes. Truly a wonderful winter getaway and runs about $200 per night.
Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The Fairmont Chateau makes skiing Banff, Canada feel like a luxurious vacation. Great luxurious resort just 40 minutes from Banff and about 2.5 hours from Calgary. Amenities at this resort include a bookstore, currency exchange, health club, baby-sitting and massage services that will get you ready for another day of skiing. Ski rentals are available on site. For those truly adventurous skiers you can try your hand at cross-country skiing. Meals offered include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This place is a little pricier and will run you about $300 per night.
Dining in Banff
The Keg Steakhouse. Nothing goes down like a fine cooked steak after a long day of hitting the slopes. The Keg Steakhouse is a local favorite and my steak was cooked to perfection. The menu is very friendly to those who have an assortment of tastes and is reasonably priced for a resort area.
The Old Spaghetti Factory. Needing to pack in the carbs before another long day of skiing or snowboarding? Try the Old Spaghetti Factory in Banff. Their menu offers every imaginable kind of pasta. All entrees come with bread, soup, salad and ice cream. The menu is extremely affordable for individuals and families who are looking to save a little money on vacation.
Activities in Banff
If you're looking forward to more than just skiing Banff, Canada you will not be disappointed. This place has wonderful shops for shopping. Hiking in the nearby Rocky Mountains will be sure to be a challenge. In the off-season you can enjoy rafting, rock climbing, and taking in the local wildlife. Take off on a snow mobile ride with Toby Creek adventures, or visit the great Glacier National Forest.
The combination of great lodging, great dining, and great activities make skiing Banff, Canada a must for every ski bum. Try Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise for the best skiing and snowboarding. Hope you enjoy the slopes this winter.

Banff was beautiful and so is Lake Louise. We loved the town and the wild life that roamed the streets.
