Skin, a Fragrance by Clean That is Faint and Natural

A Perfume Review

Sarah Afshar

When it comes to perfume or any kind of fragrance, I have to admit that I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur. Everywhere I go, I am always discovering new fragrances. Recently, when shopping at Sephora in Dallas, I had the opportunity to try Skin, a new fragrance created by a company called Clean. The fragrance promises that it's alluring, yet refreshing and genuinely pure.

Spraying perfume is one thing, but wearing it is another. After looking at the ingredients in the Skin fragrance, I was not reluctant to spray it. After noticing that it has an incredibly natural smell, I was not hesitant to spray it on my wrists to see how it actually smelled on me.

PROS

Clean Skin is light and the fragrance is not overpowering. Even though the individual notes in this fragrance include Sheer Honeydew, Lotus Blossom, Fresh Air Accord, Dewy Petals, Aquatic Notes, Blue Rose, White Musks, Amber Wood and Creamy Vanilla (which is stated on the actual packaging), I found that the vanilla is extremely prevalent in this perfume, as are the fruity smells. But when combined with the floral in this fragrance, the perfume ends up smelling natural.

Skin is an extremely light fragrance, so even if you spray a lot, it will still have the natural smelling notes. This fragrance is definitely not dramatic or overpowering. If you are someone who doesn't wear perfume, you may just find this particular perfume appealing enough to purchase because it's natural smelling.

One of the most important qualities I look for in any fragrance is its ability to last long. I must say that Clean Skin is long-lasting. The moment I sprayed the fragrance on my wrists, I could smell the natural hints all day.

CONS

If you are looking for more of a dramatic perfume, you are not going to enjoy Clean Skin. Clean Skin is a natural smelling fragrance that emphasizes the simplicity of smelling good without much effort.

RATING - 87 percent

You can purchase the Clean Skin fragrance at your nearest Sephora retailer for $69. Would I recommend this perfume to a friend? Yes, but only to those that are looking for a fragrance that is light and relatively faint. Would I use this perfume again? Although I am very much into fragrances that are on a more dramatic wavelength, I actually found this perfume appealing enough. So, yes, I would use this perfume again. If you are looking for something light yet subtle and natural, you cannot go wrong with Clean Skin.
