Avoid These Ingredients at All Cost!

Many people commonly use skin creams and germicide products without a second thought about what ingredients are in it, assuming that it is "good for them". People with dry skin and "germiphobes" are particularly vulnerable to this, as they lavishly spread on skin creams and routinely "de-contaminate" their hands with products such as Germ-X and the likes. Unfortunately, the companies that create these products are more interested in selling their products than protecting your health. The following are commonly used ingredients in many of these products that are to be avoided at all cost! These ingredients could cost you your health and even your life!

Parabens: This is actually used as a preservative in many commonly used cosmetics. Yes! It will make your skin lotions and products last longer, however, according to Dr. Mercola from Newstarget, this actually is an estrogen enhancer and is known to disrupt your natural hormone production and the body's endocrine system.

Paraffin, Mineral Oil, and Petrolatum: All of these are petroleum based products. They coat the skin and in the process, clog up your skin pores. This allows a building up of toxins right on the surface of your skin and beneath. These can actually increase the aging process of your skin. But that isn't the worst of it! Studies have show that these products can actually disrupt your natural hormone levels, causing reproductive issues and even cause cancerous growths to develop. Keep in mind that the root of these products is black oils that have been extracted from deep under the earth! Would you want to rub black oil pumped from the ground onto your skin? That is what you are doing when using these product ingredients.

Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES): This ingredient is found in the vast majority of skin care products, and even more frightening, in most shampoo! First of all, this is made from animal products. Secondly, it actually causes dry skin by breaking down the moisture barrier to the surface of your skin, and below. This can cause dry flaky skin, premature skin aging and even cancer.. as it is a nitrosamine! So if you are washing your hair with these commonly used ingredients in your shampoo... stop!

Acrylamide: This is a common ingredient used in the majority of common face creams on the market. Be aware of this one, as it has been linked to tumors of the breast!

Propylene glycol: This is commonly used to hold fragrance in skin products. This can cause skin irritation and dryness. Even worse, it has been linked to kidney and liver damage.

Phenol carbolic acid: This is a common ingredient in skin creams and lotions. It can adversely affect the circulatory system by making it collapse. It has even been known to cause paralysis, convulsions, coma, respiratory failure and even death.

Dioxane: This ingredient is camouflaged by words such as polysorbastes, laureth, ethoxylated alcohols and PEG. They have a very high concentration of 1,4-dioxane; a substance which is absorbed readily into the skin. This is highly carcinogenic as first reported in 1965, which was confirmed by the National Cancer Institute in 1978. It can be ingested through the nasal passage quite readily.

Toluene: This is a poisonous substance! It is not only made from petrolieum (black oil) products as well as coal tar but it is found in many fragrances used in skin products and perfumes. It has been linked to liver damage, kidney damage, anemia and lukemia .

If you must use skin products, it is best to use less common products with natural ingredients as opposed to the mass produced ones.
