There are many types of skydiving that you can consider. Some are well-known like freestyle, formation and free-flying. These three are the ones commonly seen on television. However, there are still more types of skydiving that are less known to many.

Even if you are new to skydiving and eager to learn more about it, it is still essential to know its less popular types. As you might have the talent or the ability for these less popular ones.

Sky surfing

This type is in fact known to be a more uttermost and ultra interpretation of skydiving. This is when a diver is diving with a small snowboard-like which is attached to the diver's feet.

As the board is attached to the feet, it is difficult to control and that is simply why skysurfing is said to be hard. It even requires some skill and correct balance that can only be attain from a large experience in free flying when you do the simple stand straight position.

There is more you can do with your board as soon as you master skysurfing. You can whirl around; do rapid rolls, spinning helicopter and more acrobatic stunts. Same with Freestyle skydiving, you can have a supporting partner to shoot your skysurfing execution. For safety measure, you may detach the board while in mid-air. BASE Jumping: As Close As It Gets

Wingsuit Flying: Flying In Style

Wingsuit is a new branch of skydiving. It is an updated invention to which skydivers apply a peculiarly designed suit that has webbings sewed between the arms and legs.

A skydiver will have a lift resulting from a control surface given by the wingsuit when it's worn.

However, for you to record your speed and distance traveled, you would need to use portable computers and other gadgets for this type of diving. The slowest speed ever attained with a wingsuit is 25mph as shown in the records. As far as you reach the assigned altitude, your wing suit's arm needs to be unzipped so to deploy your parachute.

Wingsuits are generally used by BASE jumpers to whom they are popular with. This is because they will be able to turn their 60 second freefall period into a longer span of 3 minutes when they wear wingsuits. Even so, this sort of skydiving is merely done by those experienced divers. In fact, it's more advisable that you must have hundreds of jumps below your belt prior to your decision to commence this sort of skydiving.

Precision Landing: Catching On Direct To the Point

This sort of skydiving is a viable one to which a skydiver can earn points during the contest for having been able to land as close as he can to a particular target point or area on the ground. It is commonly done alone and the most attention be given on is the embarking part.
