Slammiversary IX: Predictions
Slammiversary Will Be Live on Pay-Per-View (PPV), Sunday June 12, 2011. 8 PM ET - 5 PM PT
Sting has only been Champion for a little more than three months. It would seem foolish to take the Championship away from him now, but the last two Championships reigns did not come close to Sting's reign. Jeff Hardy held the Championship for eleven days before losing it to Sting. Before Jeff Hardy was Mr. Anderson, who held the Championship for thirty five days before losing it to Jeff Hardy. Sting's Championship reign is longer than both Hardy's and Anderson's combined which means his time as Champion could be coming to an end. Even though Sting's time as Champion could be coming to an end, it will not come to an end against Anderson. TNA only allowed Anderson to hold the Championship for thirty five days before giving the Championship back to Jeff Hardy. That makes me wonder if TNA really wants Anderson as Champion? For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Sting.
Winner: Sting
OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL MATCH: Kurt Angle (Olympic Gold Medalist) vs. Jeff Jarrett
After months of battling these two will finally face off for the last time. This time Angle will put his Olympic Gold Medal on the line. Angle has lost his Gold Medal before. In 2004, while Angle was still apart of the WWE, he started the "Kurt Angle Invitational". Each week Angle would face a hometown hero. If that hero was able to last three minutes in the ring with Angle, they would be awarded his Gold Medal. After weeks of successfully defending his Gold Medal, Angle lost it in July 2005, when Eugene lasted three minutes in the ring with him. Although Angle lost his Gold Medal once before he was never pinned in the process. When Angle puts his Gold Medal on the line against Jarrett he will not be pinned. Angle worked to hard to be pinned for his Gold Medal. Besides that this is the final meeting between these two wrestlers. If Angle were to lose he would not have the opportunity to win back his Gold Medal. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Angle.
Winner: Kurt Angle
X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Abyss (Champion) vs. Kazarian vs. Kendrick
Abyss just won the Championship on May 19th 2011, by defeating Kazarian. For that reason I do not see Kazarian or Kendrick winning the Championship less than a month later. Even though the X-Division Championship changed hands nearly every month last year. This year things have been different with Kazarian holding the Championship for three months before losing it to Abyss. Now that Abyss is Champion I feel he should hold the Championship for at least three months. For that reason I'm giving the victory to Abyss.
Winner: Abyss
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Mickie James (Champion) vs. Angelina Love
It took James months to finally take the Championship away from Madison Rayne. Now that she has it seems to early for her to lose the Championship. James won the Championship on April 17, 2011. By time Slammiversary rolls around she would only be Champion for close to two months. In my mind that is not a long enough Championship run. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to James.
Winner: Mickie James
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: James Storm & Alex Shelley (Champions) vs. British Invasion (Douglas Williams & Magnus)
Storm will not have his original tag team partner in this match as Alex Shelley fills in for the injured Bobby Roode. Shelley is no stranger to the tag team division; However, having a new tag team partner just a few weeks before the PPV could end up costing Storm the Tag Team Championships. One advantage Storm and Shelley have is that they will be taking on the British Invasion. Since reforming as a tag team the British Invasion has yet to win a match. For that reason alone they should not be fighting for the Tag Team Championships. Even though they should not be in the match, it does not mean that they will not win the Championships. If Roode is going to be out for an extended period of time. It would make sense to take the Championships off Storm and Shelley. If the British Invasion win the Championships they can start a new feud with Ink Inc. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to the British Invasion.
Winners: New Tag Team Champions British Invasion (Douglas Williams & Magnus)
LAST MAN STANDING MATCH: Bully Ray vs. Aj Styles
Bully Ray has the advantage in this Last Man Standing Match. Anything goes in this match which also puts Ray at a disadvantage. Over the past few months Ray turned on his tag team partner Brother Devon and spoke poorly about his long time friend Tommy Dreamer. Everything Ray has done over the past few months will finally catch up with him. Since anything goes in this match Devon and Dreamer can come to the aid of Aj Styles. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Aj Styles.
Winner: Aj Styles
MATCH: Crimson vs. Samoa Joe
Crimson's undefeated streak is on the line in this match. Joe had his own undefeated streak back in 2005 and 2006. If TNA wants to continue building Crimson as a new star they should allow him to win this match. Crimson has only been undefeated for five months, compared to Joe who was undefeated for 18 months. It would have been better for TNA to wait until Crimson was getting close to Joe's 18 month undefeated streak, but they can still pull it off. If Crimson is able to win in a controversially style, he can claim that he does not want to face Joe again. That can start a longer feud between these two and allow Crimson to stay undefeated for a few more months. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Crimson.
Winner: Crimson
MATCH: Matt Morgan vs. Scott Steiner
TNA should allow Morgan to win this match. Steiner is the veteran, if TNA wants new wrestlers to be in the Championship picture they need to let them get over on the veterans. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Morgan.
Winner: Matt Morgan

Good picks. Thanks for sharing (:
Nice work.
I'm going with your picks Spy.
I like your logic on the Kurt Angle and Sting picks. Your Joe/Crimson idea could work well too.
good work
